it's based on the freezing point of salt water (0 Fahrenheit)
but what is the molality of that salt water??? and why is the 0 defined by the freezing temperature of that solution but the 100 is defined by the average core body temperature of a person?????? this is all very confusing and could be avoided with Celsius
