This week for #fanartfriday is the character Nagisa from the mid-80s anime OVA "Fight! Iczer-1" 😍 Fight! Iczer-1 is an interesting series, a mix of giant robot sci-fi and gory horror. In the show, aliens launch an invasion of Earth, turning people into monsters. Good alien/cyborg Iczer-1 comes to stop them but needs a human co-pilot/sycnhronisation partner for her giant robot. She chooses innocent schoolgirl Nagisa. I first encountered the series in the mid 90s when I would go into the city on weekends to shop for VHS at either the big HMV that used to exist or the dodgy record exchange (which still exists but I haven't gone inside in years). I was probably about 14-15 at the time and when I picked up the video not only did it look like cool robot action, the rating label promised nudity, so teenage me was sold!
