Good morning everyone,
Huron is home and resting, but we are nowhere near out of the woods. He is lethargic, uncoordinated, and has no appetite. His blood work showed a systemic infection but we are still pretty uncertain about what might have caused it, or if we need to worry about it being pathogenic. He was also a surrender that came to me after 5 years in someone else's care, and we don't know what pre-existing health concerns may be lurking.
His first vet visit (including diagnostic labs, x-rays, an oral swab, and two weeks of antibiotics) ended up being a little over $550. I have attached a photo of the bill. There is no pressure at all, but if anyone is willing and able to donate some money towards his vet care, I would be incredibly incredibly grateful. I am currently in a pretty tricky financial situation as I am transitioning between jobs (currently part time at both), and just committed to a massive aviary upgrade - which while fantastic, means that this was the absolute worst timing for unexpected vet bills.
I have set up a fundraiser on my Kofi to try and help cover this.

Btw Huron would like everyone to know he is feeling MUCH better ❤️ He finished his antibiotics yesterday (a week early!) and is back to his regularly scheduled activities like flirting with large women, pretending my lamp is a nest, and stealing my pens while I work. Thank you one last time to everyone who sent your support while he was under the weather, it meant the world to us!
