It’s been years since I’ve been home and I’m heading back to the desert. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. I saw my family, we shed some tears, hugs and laughter. I regret missing out on my nieces and nephews lives because they need that balance. My daughter needed that balance as well. I’m going to change that. I’ve revisited my old grammar school and hung out with childhood friends. I also lost a little bit of myself when I became a Arizona resident. I felt a certain emptiness and I wasn’t fully doing me like I should but didn’t know what actually what to do. I was just a mom and someone’s wife at the time..and now that I faced my pain by revisiting my childhood I’m ready to do me. Whether you like it or not, I’m doing me. I’m not getting any younger.
