A bright meteor zips in between Jupiter, our galaxy’s spiral, and our neighbor galaxy Andromeda. The Perseid meteor shower was incredible this year! Alongside @advil and @skygreene we must’ve seen over 300 meteors across 2 nights. This one was by far the brightest, illuminating the entire landscape. We thought it was lightning striking, but looked up and saw a green tail that left a lingering smoke trail for about 10 minutes. The silence of the bright flash was eerie.
