The witch refused to stop at another island, and Idate knew he was probably to blame for that. But, the destination was finally reached and the witch nearly collapsed with exhaustion.
Pulling himself out of the sea, he walked over near the sleeping witch. They were pretty cute, the’d be cuter if they were struggling to breath like before. Reaching out slightly, he almost wrapped his hand around their neck, but he paused. He’d most likely end up with worse than a broken rib this time and that wouldn’t be healed once the witch knew he was following them.
Pulling his hand back, he sneered at the sleeping witch. “Soon.” Heading into the forest, he waited to see where this witch was heading.
Once they woke up, the witch had a weird feeling like they were being watched. They shook their head, blaming it on that encounter with the orca the other day. Heading down the path they had been told to take, they were comforted being away from the sea for now.
Along the pathway, there were a few enemies here and there, but nothing they couldn’t handle. Until they turned a corner and ran into a mob of bats. Taking a step back, they knew they wouldn’t be able to take on all of them. Preparing to run the other way and find a different pathway, they suddenly felt themselves being picked up by their collar.
“Wha...?” Looking up, they met eyes once again with that murderous orca. “You!”
Idate smirked, blowing some smoke from his nose. “Missed me Doll?” Tossing them behind him, he made sure to fully face the bats.
“You followed me?!”
“You can be mad all you want later. Can you make sure I don’t die fighting these things?”
“You’re going to fight them all...?” The witch blinked, convinced the wale was insane.
“Course I am!” He laughed wildly, biting down hard on his cigarette. “Just keep me alive!” With that he charged into the mob.
It was a slaughter. It was terrifying to watch, the orca was a devil. Ripping off wings, eating the bodies, chewing half of the poor animal to let it bleed out. The mob never had a chance. However, in the middle of the carnage, the orca lay. The witch couldn’t tell if he was breathing and there was no way of knowing what blood was his or his victims.
Walking over cautiously, the witch knelt down next to the whale. “Hey...are you breathing...?” They softly reached out, not sure of what to do. Idate’s hand whipped out, grabbing the face of the witch. He grinned madly, sitting up slowly as he witch shook in his grasp.
“Hey, I’m home!” You heard him calling out from downstairs. After having him being missing for a few days, which is pretty normal in actuality, you rushed down to greet him. However, you stopped at the top of the stairs staring at him. He was absolutely covered in blood.
“Whose blood?” You raised an eyebrow. You had told him time and time again to not be cruel when he’s killing prey. He shuffled a bit, rubbing the back of his head.
“Mine actually.” That changed the tone rather quickly. Rushing down to see him, you quickly pulled him into the living room and went to search for a first aid kit. You wouldn’t be able to patch everything together, you’d most likely have to travel to see that one sea witch. She was always nervous around Idate, but its gotten better since you two started to date.
“What in the world happened…” You sat down next to him, gently starting to dab at a few of the injuries. You watched him wince a bit as the alcohol stung.
“I got into a fight with someone.”
“No shit, what did you fight?” He had to wrack his brains for a few minutes, trying to figure out what he had fought with.
“…Might have been a devil actually.” He laughed, shrugging. “They were pretty strong!”
“You are such an idiot.” You groan slightly. “I need you to take off your top.” He smirked, a small puff of smoke coming from his nose.
“Oh?” He got a bit of an icy glare back and he sighed, taking off his shirt. It's not that you didn’t enjoy him being half naked in front of you, but now wasn’t really the time to think about that kinda stuff. There were some pretty large gashes around his chest, along with a few other scars from the multiple other fights he had done in the past.
“You really need to stop fighting so much, it’s going to get you killed.” He shrugged a bit, leaning back and crossing his arms behind his head as you huffed a bit, not being able to get his back anymore.
“You know that isn’t going to change with me. I don’t know why you keep saying that.”
“I got you to stop killing things just for fun.” He glanced over at you, and quickly pulled you into his lap, giving you another smirk. “I’m trying to treat you!” You felt your cheeks heat up a bit as he smirked at you, his hands gently resting on your hips.
“I got no problem with that Nurse~” He laughed a bit as you gently smacked his chest, making sure to avoid one of the worse off wounds. “Come on, I haven’t seen you in days, can I at least get a small kiss?”
“Not until you put out your cigarette.” You crossed your arms, and he rolled his eyes, taking it out and snuffing it on the ashtray near the couch.
“Happy?” He blew out the rest of the smoke in your face, knowing it annoyed you. You rolled your own eyes, then leaned over, giving him a small kiss.
