Could u write something about idate meeting someone new(reader) maybe? At a bar. And has a drinking competition •v• you decide who wins tho!!
I had written a good portion of this before shit hit the fan so I was tearing everything apart to find this. I hope you enjoy it!
Idate sat down, slightly annoyed Gris convinced him to come to this stupid bar. He had mentioned some ‘cutie’ tat was a somewhat regular, that’s the only reason he had bothered coming.
Then they walked in, catching Idate’s attention instantly. “Well look at them…” Gris smirked, taking a casual sip of his wine.
“Didn’t I tell you?” Nudging his companion slightly, he laughed. “Go get them tiger!”
“I’m goin’!” Idate grumbled, getting up and heading right over to them. “Hey there.” Glancing to him, they raised an eyebrow.
“Do you need something?”
“I was just wondering if you’d like to join me and my friend from some drinks~” They glanced to Gris, who gave a friendly wave and shrugged.
“What the hell, why not.” Taking their current drink, they sat down with the two whales.
Eventually, the conversation moved on, and Idate got an idea. “Hey [YN], didn’t you mention you’ve never lost a drinking competition?”
“Sure did, why?”
“How about we have one?” Idate smirked, leaning forward. “If I win…you have to go on a date with me.” They snorted into their drink, Gris leaning back to let the two fight it out.
“Why the hell would I bet something like that?”
“What? You afraid of losing or something?” They grumbled, then leaned forward to look into Idate’s eyes.
“Fine, I win and you pay for my tab.” The orca smirked, shaking their now outstretched hand.
“Deal~!” Gris simply sighed, then motioned to the bartender to start bringing drinks over.
“You two are both idiots.” Gris took a sip of his wine as the two turned towards him.
“Shuddup.” They both growled, Gris holding up his hands in defense. Turning back to one another, [YN] singled the bartender for round 13 of drinks.
“Feeling ready to give up yet?” They sneered at the orca, who only laughed.
“I could go on forever~!” Putting two more bottles down, they both grabbed them and drank them down. Idate smirked, watching as his opponent swayed slightly. “Starting to feel it now?”
“No idea whatya talkin’ about.” The slurred words tumbled out of their mouth. Idate signaled for another two bottles, pausing slightly before he picked his up.
“You sure you don’t want to give up?” They just laughed, chugging the drink down. They didn’t notice, however, as Idate poured his out into a potted plant, as he had done multiple other rounds, earning a look from Gris. They both looked over at their new companion just as they passed out on the table. Gris harshly elbowed the orca, getting up to pay everyone’s bill, including [YN]’s tab. Idate smirked, leaning over close to his now sleeping date. “Looks like I win sweet cheeks~”
The witch refused to stop at another island, and Idate knew he was probably to blame for that. But, the destination was finally reached and the witch nearly collapsed with exhaustion.
Pulling himself out of the sea, he walked over near the sleeping witch. They were pretty cute, the’d be cuter if they were struggling to breath like before. Reaching out slightly, he almost wrapped his hand around their neck, but he paused. He’d most likely end up with worse than a broken rib this time and that wouldn’t be healed once the witch knew he was following them.
Pulling his hand back, he sneered at the sleeping witch. “Soon.” Heading into the forest, he waited to see where this witch was heading.
Once they woke up, the witch had a weird feeling like they were being watched. They shook their head, blaming it on that encounter with the orca the other day. Heading down the path they had been told to take, they were comforted being away from the sea for now.
Along the pathway, there were a few enemies here and there, but nothing they couldn’t handle. Until they turned a corner and ran into a mob of bats. Taking a step back, they knew they wouldn’t be able to take on all of them. Preparing to run the other way and find a different pathway, they suddenly felt themselves being picked up by their collar.
“Wha...?” Looking up, they met eyes once again with that murderous orca. “You!”
Idate smirked, blowing some smoke from his nose. “Missed me Doll?” Tossing them behind him, he made sure to fully face the bats.
“You followed me?!”
“You can be mad all you want later. Can you make sure I don’t die fighting these things?”
“You’re going to fight them all...?” The witch blinked, convinced the wale was insane.
“Course I am!” He laughed wildly, biting down hard on his cigarette. “Just keep me alive!” With that he charged into the mob.
It was a slaughter. It was terrifying to watch, the orca was a devil. Ripping off wings, eating the bodies, chewing half of the poor animal to let it bleed out. The mob never had a chance. However, in the middle of the carnage, the orca lay. The witch couldn’t tell if he was breathing and there was no way of knowing what blood was his or his victims.
Walking over cautiously, the witch knelt down next to the whale. “Hey...are you breathing...?” They softly reached out, not sure of what to do. Idate’s hand whipped out, grabbing the face of the witch. He grinned madly, sitting up slowly as he witch shook in his grasp.
For some reason I feel like I’ve become the source for Idate stuff. Not complaining, but wondering if yall feel the same.
You didn’t know he could be this whiny. You’ve seen him with harpoon bolts sticking out of his shoulders and he was fine. But once he gets the sniffles, god forbid, he’s down for the count. “Babe….” He called out from the bed and you just sighed, going to the bedroom and sitting down next to him.
“What is it?” You raised an eyebrow and he just let out a small whine from under his covers. He sneezed and groaned, leaning over and resting his head on your lap.
“Can you get me something to eat?” He looked miserable as he looked up at you, his nose running slightly. You gently pushed his hair back to feel his temperature. He was burning up, his eyes closing from the pleasure of the coolness of your hand.
“I’ll get something for you right now…Do you need anything else?”
“Can you lay with me?” He’s such a child, you rolled your eyes but nodded, standing up.
“Let me go get you something to eat first. It’s going to be soup again.” There was a loud groan as he went under the sheets again. “Is there something wrong with my soup?”
“No I just want fish and not soup.”
“Do you suggest that I go out there fishing on my own?” You crossed your arms, looking at the lump that was your boyfriend. He always got the fish and refused to eat any that weren’t fresh, always so picky.
“No…” he sighed, then threw back the covers, getting out of the bed. You blinked and rushed over, gently shoving him back down. “What?”
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” You glared at him and he smirked slightly, tugging you hard enough to make you land on his lap.
“I was gonna go fishing. You’re cute when you’re worried~” His normal stupid grin was on his face. You sighed and shook your head, quickly putting a hand on his mouth.
“No you’re not, and you’re not about to kiss me and give me whatever the hell you have.” There was a small whine from the orca, who only pulled you closer.
“Babe…” He pulled away your hand, giving you his puppy dog eyes. Narrowing your eyes, you eventually gave in, just like he knew you would. It was a soft, quick kiss.
“Will you lay down now while I go make you something?” You gently put your hand on his hot cheek and he nodded, letting you get back up. “If I get sick from this I’m going to kill you.” You sighed slightly, he just smirked at you.
“Well I’d just have to nurse you back to health beautiful~” Rolling your eyes again, you headed to the kitchen to make his soup.
You sneezed loudly, letting out a loud groan as you glared over at your boyfriend. He just smirked slightly, giving a small shrug. “Whoops.”
I decided to make this a bit long, I do hope you don’t mind. =u=
The second war wasn’t easy, but it could have been worse. As much as you hated to admit it, it was thanks to that orca. He had taken down one of the largest threats and kept Lady Tastumiya safe. But now…
“Hey sour puss.” He leaned over into your face, his half cocked grin in full force. “What ya pouting about now?”
“Why haven’t you left yet?” Standing to start the daily patrol assigned to you, he started to follow.
“Well I can’t leave a weakling like yourself alone to fend for yourself.” Knowing he pressed the right button, he quickly ducked as you jabbed your trident at him. Grabbing the handle, he yanked you forward slightly towards him. “Now, is that anyway to treat the one that saved you?” He was right, as much as you hated to admit he was. You had been cornered by a good number of Dead Sea soldiers and you were in no condition to fend them all off when he showed up.
“I already thanked you. How about you piss off.” Snarling a bit at the orca and turning away from him again.
“Saying ‘thank you’ then passing out on me isn’t a real thank you honestly.”
“Then what do you want?”
“Go on a walk with me, that’s all I want. After this stupid patrol of yours.” He stood in front of you, not allowing you to get around until you answered. Letting out a defeated sigh, you rolled your eyes.
“Fine! One walk, then you leave me the hell alone.”
“Only if you want me to after~” Another jab was dodged, but he kept to his word, letting you go finish your patrol.
You had no idea why you were so nervous about this walk with him. It wasn’t like it was a date or something. “Hello?” He waved his hand in front of your face, snapping you back to the present.
“What?”
“I asked you a question?”
“Oh…uh….what’d you ask?” Idate snorted slightly, blowing a bit of smoke out of his nose.
“I was wondering if you remembered anything other than passing out.” You had to pause, thinking hard. It almost felt like you were missing something.
“You…got hurt….” It dawned on you suddenly. You remembered that as you were falling he had rushed to catch you and he had gotten slashed.
“You know I wouldn’t risk my skin for just anyone right?” He leaned closer to you, and even with this confident act of his, you could see he was nervous himself.
“Are…you asking me out?”
“Uh…yeah. I’ve been trying too.” you let out a small laugh, taking his cigarette and kissing him.
“Does that answer your question?” A bit stunned, he shook his head, then smirked as he looked at you.
