i want to write a statemenr fic where the statement giver is afraid of worms in the body. yes, it’s the corruption, but it’s not just the earthworm type worms that burrow into the skin. the statement giver is a veterinarian, so they have learned the different, much more expansive types of worm that don't just infect people. parasites that squelch in the stomach of the rumen (a cow’s stomach) and the fear of the mere idea that it is within them. worms that burrow in their intestines, microbes that eat their stomach from the inside out. they fear the possible holes within them, the eggs that the worm might lay. the idea that living organisms, parasites, could be in their body just moving and burrowing and sucking into their organs terrifies them.
