I swear Obelix is the single most realistic depiction of what it’s like to own a small dog.
Just the way he says “🥰My little dog❤️” with more love in his voice than I’ve ever heard any fictional character use for their children is spot on. And he gets SO mad when people dare say his dog is not a proper dog because wtf?! And there’s a mix of acknowledging that his dog can take care of itself in most situations because it’s an animal after all but also that it needs his protection in dangerous situations.
I couldn’t stop laughing after the scene in Britain where a guy tries to beat his dog up only for it to get a strength boost and bite him back and Obelix is immediately like “WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY LITTLE DOGGY!?!!?”
Just chef’s kiss.

Daily sketch 24 march 2020
RIP Albert Uderzo
Some of my Asterix (and Hubert Brussel Sprouts) drawings through the years. The first one had a list of my friends behind (yep, that’s sad), I used both Asterix and Ompa-pah examples for an study of colors in comic that I made at university. I did a greyscale version of The Great Crossing cover for class too. And lastly, a sketch trying to mix my style with Uderzo’s.
EDIT: Added this prompt from the RTTE Challenge.
PS: Fun fact: Hubert’s name in Spanish is Humberto de la Pasta de Hojaldre.
