as much as jacen wasn’t keen on taking new bounty hunter contracts here, this one would’ve paid enough for a half-way decent ship he could use, albeit a small one. it’s better than nothing - and it’s something he needs if he’s going to be able to achieve his goal. the odd contract here and there, for the right reasons, isn’t a big deal.
what he didn’t quite expect was his employer to switch sides in the meantime.
still, he sent the message to meet as he normally would, not letting on that he’s aware of the woman’s change in allegiance, and made his way to the rendezvous point. a cantina that’s busier than he expected - but no doubt it’ll be harder for anyone to overhear them. there’s a data drive in his pocket, ready to be handed over - but he’s not quite sure she’s the right person to give it to anymore. the information she had him gather could help the rebellion just as it would’ve helped the remains of the empire. and that’s the last thing he plans on doing.
letting out a sigh, he takes a sip of his drink and waits for iden to arrive, still tossing up exactly what to do.
