Zay had worked with the rebellion, the resistance for her whole life. It was what she was raised to do, what to fight for, to protect those who needed help and protection. When she was young her parents had spoke to her about the empire, about their life before the rebellion and she knew how important it was to see both sides and how important it was to fight for what you think is right. Those lessons still echoed with her years later, every night as she lay down, about to sleep she could see her mother. On the bad nights she would see those final moments...
With a sigh, Zay adjusted the strap of her pack, looking at the people that walked through the crowded streets of the city. Even before they arrived here Leia had sent Versio to find allies and that hadn’t changed upon their arrival at Coruscant. And now with the attack that happened it was more vital than ever. At this point it was hardly finding people who supported their cause, it was more about finding people that hated the first order and this was becoming difficult.
Still Zay kept her head up as she walked through the streets to follow a new lead she had, that was until she saw someone walk past her. Zay froze, knowing that face, the way they moved. “Mom..?” She whispered, turning around to watch her walk away. It was common knowledge by now that they were bringing people back to aid them but why had no one told her that her mother was back? “Mom!” Zay quickly moved after the woman, catching her arm as she felt a rush of hope and excitement that she hadn’t felt in so long.
