P52 (2013) Week 16 - Reflections
About two weeks back, I bought a polarizing filter for my 35mm lens. I have polarized sunglasses but never really noticed what the the polarization does. The claim is that polarization removes reflections, but I've never noticed the effect.
That changed when I got my filter in the mail. Immediately, I put it on my lens and tested it out on some reflections. I rotated the filter, and the reflections were gone. I didn't have much use for it after that. And after last week's photo, I put all my gear away and didn't think about photography until this morning.
The Boston Bombing and my illness captured most of my attention. I don't know what I had. One morning, I just woke up with a sore throat and a fever. Doesn't matter now because I'm feeling much better. Being sick gave me a lot of time to watch the whole Boston tragedy unfold.
This morning, I realized that I hadn't come up with an idea for a photo, so I had to think fast. I also saw a comercial for a Norelco shaver with an awesome tag line--IdFAQme. It caught my attention because I am actually looking into getting an electric shaver.
Week 16:
P.S. I used my polarizing filter. The photo w/reflections is below.
