         it  was  a  saturday  and  the  girl  usually  spent  saturday  nights  at  the  hideout .  rey  frequented  the  bar  and  she ‘ d  often  caught  a  set  by  corroded  coffin ,  enjoying  the  show  every  time .  tonight ,  however ,  wasn ‘ t  one  of  those  nights  since  a  big  name  band  had  come  to  a  nearby  city  and  the  girl  just  had  to  go .  she  knew  how  much  eddie  loved  said  band  since  she  heard  him  playing  it  from  his  van  as  he  drove  through  town  often  so  when  she  had  ordered  her  ticket  over  the  telephone ,  she  had  got  an  extra  one  for  him .

         standing  in  his  doorway ,  rey  hid  the  tickets  that  she ‘ d  received  in  the  mail  behind  her  back  and  smiled  at  the  male  before  bringing  them  out  to  fan  her  face .   ❝  how  would  you  like  to  come  see  metallica  with  me  tonight ,  eddie  munson ?  ❞

         peaking from under the sheet she had grabbed from the other side of the couch, the oldest cunningham smiles sleepily at him    -    she remembers the pounding in her head, crying and leaving her house through her bedroom window, though she doesn’t remember making it to eddie munson’s trailer and sleeping on the couch.

          “    almost . . . six hours i think . . .    “    yawning softly, she shuffles to sit up against the corner of the couch, waving to the other as realisation hits her as she had invited herself to his home without checking, her mother would have a field day with this.    “    oh gosh . . oh god . . . this was stupid . .  your uncle, he . . . um he let me in when i was crying, i think. no i’m sure . . . oh god, i’ll just go. sorry eddie.    ”    during her rambling realisation, she’s stumbling over her feet and the blanket to rush to the front door.

There was a genuine fear in the girls eyes as she backed away from him, knocking over the chair she was just sat on. " Don't you dare, I mean it Munson or I will not be held responsible for where this pen ends. " she warned looking around quickly for an escape route. There was only one way out of the Hellfire Club's room, and he was in the way.

❛   then don’t come.   ❜      she doesn’t make eye contact , doesn’t miss a beat to let his words sink in.      this , all of this was PERSONAL on a level all on it’s own.      the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON in tara’s life was dead and all she was left with were QUESTIONS without answers.      and if it meant her actions to find those answers would get her KILLED then so be it.      it was a fate she had decided on being an okay end long ago.      eddie’s words however , as they delved their way into her core , it would be an outright LIE if tara didn’t feel a pang of guilt for those same acts.      eddie had been a SAFE PLACE for her.      given her a HOME when hers shattered into a million pieces and never judged her once.      perhaps he was the only one left she would miss had she DIED.      the only one she would feel BAD for leaving behind.      turning to face him , it’s a STRUGGLE to make eye contact with his.      ❛   she was important to ME.      and would do the EXACT same thing had it been me that died.      i’m not gonna stand here like the rest of HAWKINS and pretend nothing can be done.      she deserves more than that.   ❜

somedays ,   she   can   pretend   nothing   has   changed.   there's   no   dark   cloud   that   settles   over   top   her   head.   following   every   breath   she   dares   to   take.   others   ..   it's   a   constant   reminder   that   she   is   not   meant   to   be   standing ,   with   feet   digging   into   the   earth.   a   sigh   pushes   into   shared   space.      “   the   more   it  heals   ...   ”      a   flicker   of   honesty.   glimpse   behind   the   mask   she's   tried   to   keep   in   place.   for   everyone   else's   sake.      “   the   worse   it   hurts.   ”

you are kind, smart, beautiful inside and out, amazing and worth more than all of the gold in the whole world. you've very quickly become one of my most favorite people on this site and i'm so incredibly glad that i came back, you are one of the biggest reasons that make my stay here worth while. <3
