She’s never been happier for the lack of light. Nova had been hoping that her nerves would go unnoticed, especially the closer that the other got, but now, with Kristina’s head near her heart, of course she could hear it. Nova was afraid it might just manage to beat its way out of her chest. That would certainly suck.
“Oh uh, it does that sometimes. I mean uh, trust me, I’d tell it to shut up if I could.” There’s an awkward little laugh, but she does really hope her heart will shut up. She doesn’t want the other to move.
