Ghosts 2.02

It's finally finished! I actually drew this weeks and weeks ago but the announcement about series 2's release date pushed me to colour it.

...of course I can't watch it since BBC Canada doesn't play it and BBC'S iplayer is region locked, but maybe some kind person in the UK will take pity on me...

I might add the background of the house later but for now I'm just enjoying how bright and colourful it all looks ;;

um not to get emotional on main but the idiots really saw how much the captain meant to lgbt fans and decided to include an overarching story arc about gay love and acceptance across the second series

After watching the ghosts Christmas special, I noticed two things:

While not explicitly stated, Mary definitely had children of her own. This is shown by her knowledge of childcare and her attempt to feed the baby.

Mary was the only one who knew that some babies can see ghosts.

Here's my theory:

Mary was happily married and had many children, one being a baby.

Mary's husband died in a tragic accident and she was accused of being a witch and cursing him.

After she was executed, she went back to visit her family. Naturally they couldn't see or hear her which broke her heart.

However, when she walked past her babies crib, they started laughing and reached out to her.

This made Mary happy as it meant she could still care for her baby and take some stress from her eldest children.

She would talk to them, tell them stories, etc. However, as they grew up they stopped being able to see her.

This made Mary sad, but over the years she met many children and enjoyed caring for them and making them happy.

Some of the current ghosts at button house met Mary as a babies, but she is the only one to remember this.

the captain from bbc ghosts is autistic. yes i am projecting but also:

- never stands still, always bouncing on the balls of his feet

- fiddling with that stick he has (stim!)

- always clearing his throat (vocal stim!)

- obsessed with tanks (special interest!) 

- always wears the same things
