I actually think sense8 helped my mum to get rid of a layer of her regular everyday standard packaging supermarket level homophobia/transphobia/genderbullshit and honestly I'm pretty damn grateful for that
She really liked the series and she was like: Netflix killed a series that actually did something NEW
And she's not really about or with queer shit but sense8 is super queer and she's pretty open-minded so those stories and imagery I think really helped normalise some things
