I think “my tears ricochet.” I also love “cardigan.” I listened to the album when it came out like the rest of the world. It’s unfair how talented she is. She’s such a boss in the sense of business as well. She’s such a role model for me because it’s one thing to be a talented songwriter but then it’s another to navigate the business especially when you’re that massive. Maintaining that star power is not easy. It takes a lot of smarts as well as talents. I’m just glad my album didn’t come out the same week or else I would have probably killed myself.

20 Songs That Should Have Been Singles

We round up 20 great pop songs that really should have been released as singles in 2020.

Niall Horan-  “New Angel” 

Poor Niall Horan. Imagine releasing your sophomore album in the same week the entire world shut down. As such, Heartbreak Weather got a little bit lost in the mix. Fans who did take the ride, however, were blessed with slinky, ’80s-inspired pop gems like “New Angel.” It’s not too late.

I think it’ll be like there might be three One Direction songs in there. I mean I’ll definitely put a few in. It would be rude not to, and there are some bangers in there. But mostly Walls. I’ll probably do the whole album and maybe two or three One Direction tunes.

I’d say, maybe 30 percent of the songs on the album were written longer than a year ago. There are some songs that are so special to me and I think they mean a lot to the fans. Some of those songs also represent that time in my life in whatever way.
