are your cakes still too warm? it could also be that you are holding the icing bag too much and need to let it cool down, or the nib (i think thats what its called) of the bag is too small for what you want to do
Nope, the cupcakes were in the fridge covered in clingfilm for about an hour so they were cold. The nozzles are professional quality [got them for christmas]. I tihnk perhaps the problem is with the buttercream. I'm using normal spreadable butter... Perhaps that's why. Also, I don't have very steady hands.
