"What are you afraid of?" //Hello~ thought I'd just leave you one of these.
The attorney spared a lengthened amount of thought towards the inquiry, visibly drawing forth the more focused of expressions with the question asked. What was it that he truly feared? While a multitude of strikes towards the ego drove the slacker to a state of defeat and submission towards fit of haphazard insults, it hadn't exactly defined what brought him fear. Loss? The thought alone towards losing a loved one worried him but it did not plague him towards the absolute state of paranoia. His head bowed in the time necessary to accumulate an appropriate answer. An expression turned well kept features towards childlike innocence for the barest of seconds. Through astute matters of thought, Jeff lifted his vision almost ashamed towards the answer so meager.
"Commitment." Oh the concept brought him to run the other way. While many did not understand Jeffrey's inadequate fear, he pondered his father's lack of presence, the abusive comments, the life that spiraled downhill the instant he left his mother. The fear of becoming him. Jeff was left silent, unable to formulate anything else. He didn't want to be his father, and as a result, he was left ultimately backing down from relationships altogether, in fear of being the wrong thing to commit to in regards to the poor other to request his presence as partner in relationship.
