I feel like I'm in between wanting someone special in my life that is always by my side throughout my down days, and yet i want to be able to say that I can do it on my own. I need to know that I alone will be strong enough to fix my own problems and get myself out of a funk. I fantasize about both being taken care of and being self-reliant. I want someone to hold me and tell me that everything is going to be okay, but I yearn for the day when I can motivate myself to be the best version of me. It's contradictory I know. Also, being a women, I have a sense of guilt when thinking that I need a man. Especially in the modern world where feminism is so potent and fresh. I'm just a confused gal surrounded by politics, opinions, judgment, sexism, and irrelevance, just trying to make sense of it all.
