Destiel AU for @envydean ! Went with a coffee shop one bc those never go wrong right? :) (925 words)
There’s a coffee shop across from Castiel’s apartment. It’s been open for decades. Only locals know about it. The outside is beaten up and makes the entire building look like it’s falling apart. The windows are small and the paint is chipped, bad brickwork exposed underneath. There’s a small apartment above it, owned by owner Bobby who enjoys smoking out of the window, which also contributes to scaring people away from the shop. It is Castiel’s favourite place.
He first went in a couple of months ago. The time had gone by too fast and he’d pulled an all-nighter studying, something he regretted the next morning. He soon enough found out that his coffee machine didn’t work. In a rush of desperation, he had decided to go to the shop. It had been a good decision.
The shop itself was nice. It looked much, much better than the outside. The walls were filled with beautiful paintings made by all sorts of artists, everything from copies of classics to modern paint splatters to ones made by local kids. The small windows brought a surprising amount of sun into the room, which was well lit by lamps and candles filling every available space. It was a bit cramped but cosy. Yet none of that was all that important. The reason that this particular shop was Castiel’s favourite place had a name – Dean.
Every bad feeling Castiel had had when entering the room, grogginess and tiredness and the feeling of not quite being alive, disappeared at once as two bright green eyes looked at him from behind the register. He’d walked up, awkward and giggly, ready to get to know the handsome dude, who’s nametag read Dean, and then suddenly he’d found himself back at his apartment with a coffee in his hand. He’d wimped out and ordered without even looking at the guy.
Castiel later found himself visiting the coffee shop nearly every day, always motivated to ask Dean out, but he never did. Why had he been cursed with such terrible people skills? It was in no way fair.
”Got a lot of money to spend on coffee, huh, Cas?” Dean had asked one morning with a cheeky smile on his face.
“Mhm,” Castiel had simply nodded, thrown aback by the nickname. “How did Dean even know my name?” he’d found himself thinking. “Coffee shop. Right. “ So Castiel was an absolute failure. He knew this already.
Dean didn’t work on Tuesday mornings, something Castiel figured out quite quickly, and so he decided on making his own coffee on Tuesdays. However, when his machine once again broke he was left with no choice. This particular event had happened approximately three weeks after he had first discovered the shop.
Castiel ordered an Americano that morning. The redhead behind the counter smiled. “Gotcha. Name?” Castiel told her, excited to belatedly wake up. He was mad at himself for spending so much time trying to get the damn machine to work and was in desperate need of coffee.
“Oh, so this is the Cas! I thought you’d be shorter!” The redhead said excitedly. She placed a cup under the machine and pushed the button before turning back to him.
“Do I, uh, know you?” Castiel asked as he squinted. He was really confused.
“Dean is head over heels for you, been waiting for you to ask him out for weeks. I keep saying you don’t seem like much of a talker, but his insecurities are gettin’ the best of him, I’m afraid.”
Charlie really seemed to like talking, considering the speed. He didn’t even know mouths could move that quickly.
“Really?” Castiel asked, eyes wide.
She nodded and handed him the coffee.
“Good luck! You can do this!” She smiled and waved, and Castiel was left astonished and shocked. He actually had to stand outside for a couple minutes to think through what the woman had told him.
Castiel walks over to the coffee shop on Wednesday. He looks in the dirty window for a few minutes, trying to gather up some courage, and then he goes inside.
Dean is looking better than ever. His hair is fluffy yet neat and his freckles stand out slightly less against his now pink cheeks. Castiel does his best to keep his confidence up as he walks toward the counter. “Am-“ he starts, but Dean just laughs and shakes his head.
“Here,” Dean says, handing Dean a black coffee with his name on it.
“Oh!” Castiel mutters, surprised. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Dean responds.
Castiel realises that this is his chance, and nearly swallows his words. “Dean, would you please go out with me?”
Dean laughs. “Turn that cup around, would ya?”
Castiel does, confused, and finds 10 digits written on in in messy writing. He smiles and scratches his neck, more nervous than ever. “I suppose we asked each other out,” he mumbles.
“We did. So you’ll call me?” Dean smirks.
“That I will,” Castiel smiles, and then he hurries out, furiously attempting to hide his blush. He’s done it. Not that it would’ve been at all necessary apparently, but he feels weirdly proud of himself. He finds he can’t wait to tell Charlie on Tuesday. Hell, they’ll probably have been on a date by then. He looks forward to it. A lot. Like a lot, a lot.
Castiel is on a business trip. Dean needs a break from his family. It's late at night and they're in a motel with only one room available. What's sharing a bed for one night, right? (1,1k words)
Castiel drove. He was angry and tired, and all he wanted was sleep. He and his company were on a business trip in Texas. You may be wondering at this point what sort of company would go on business trips to Texas, but well, Castiel's company did. The fancy hotel he was supposed to stay at had been facing computer troubles and his room was double booked. He had to find somewhere else to stay the night. Castiel was considering sleeping in his car when he saw the sign. It was barely visible through the rain drumming on his car. Having trouble seeing the road, he almost missed the driveway, tires screaming, seat on an uncomfortable angle. He managed to get back up and drove onto a parking spot. In front of him was a shabby motel. It was old and dark, slightly creepy looking. Having stopped his car he held his suitcase over his head and opened the car door.
The only reason he even noticed the entrance was a small neon sign over it. He ran inside. The receptionist desk was small. A few old chairs stood around and some brochures lay on a table. Except for that, the room was fairly blank. It was an old, gross place, and Castiel already missed the hotel. He saw two people in the room, but his eyes only cared about one of them. They automatically scanned the guy up and down. He seemed to be about Castiel's age. He might be slightly younger, but his tired eyes suggested otherwise. He was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt, and had a bit of scruff and short hair. He turned around to look at Castiel, and Castiel focused his attention on the receptionist. "Could I rent a room for the night?" he asked. The receptionist smiled. "I'm sorry, but this guy just got the last one." She made a hand gesture towards the plaid wearing dude. Castiel furrowed his brows. Could this day get any worse than this? Could anything get any worse than this?
"Alright," Cas murred. The guy was looking at him now. Castiel noticed his eyes. They were the brightest, greenest eyes Castiel had ever seen. Castiel turned around, ready to leave. He would just have to stay in his car. "Wait up," the receptionist suddenly said. Castiel turned back. The guy was still looking at him and he wasn't trying to hide it. "The room has two queens, maybe you could share? Just for the night?" the receptionist said. Her positive smile annoyed the crap out of him. He sighed. "It's fine, I'll find someplace else." The guys eyes flashed at that. He almost seemed desperate. "There's nothing else in miles," he said. "It's fine by me." Castiel shook his head. "It's good, I'll sleep in the car." The guy shook his head back at him. "I insist."
Castiel looked down, making a mental list of pros and cons. Pros: he would avoid back aches from sleeping in his car, have access to a bathroom, be less tired tomorrow, and most importantly, the guy was hell of handsome. Cons? Sharing a bedroom with a stranger whom could be anyone. The possibilities were endless. Rapist, murderer, satanist. His choice was obvious. "Fine, as long as you're okay with it." The guy smiled. "I guess if we're gonna share a room we should know eachothers’ names. I'm Dean, Dean Winchester." Castiel smiled back, suddenly not as tired anymore. "I'm Castiel Milton."
Dean walked ahead of him, unlocking the door. He smiled at Cas before opening it. He blocked the whole doorway, and Cas was surprised when the smile disappeared. "What's wrong?" Castiel asked."There are no queens," Dean answered. Castiel rushed over. There were no queens indeed, just one bed in the middle of the room. It was slightly bigger than a single bed, but still not particularly large. Cas sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day. He quickly scanned the room for sofas or chairs, but only found a small desk chair that looked very inappropriate for sleeping. "I don't even care. I just want to sleep," Castiel said. Dean nodded and went inside. He put his bag on top of some drawers. Castiel put down his suitcase and grabbed his pajamas before walking into the bathroom to change.
When Cas came out, he froze. Dean was pulling his Led Zeppelin t-shirt over his head. Not on. Off. "Really?" Castiel hissed. "It's warm," Dean protested. Cas was shivering. It was the coldest room he had ever been in. "Really?" he repeated. Dean shrugged. Castiel decided to ignore him. He looked down at his phone and set the alarm for the morning. He had a meeting at nine am, and it would take him about half an hour to drive back to the hotel. Once the alarm was in place, he put his phone on the bedside table and laid down on his side of the bed. Dean threw his t-shirt onto the chair and laid down too.
At first, they faced opposite directions. Castiel stared at the door, a little bit of light from the hall let through underneath it. Dean stared at the window, or the curtains rather. After about three minutes, but what felt like three hours, they shifted, almost simultaneously. They both stared onto the roof now. Castiel could hear Dean's breath very clearly and very loudly. He didn't mind. After a few more minutes, Dean shifted again. He was looking at Castiel's profile now. It didn't take long for Castiel to follow. They stared right into eachothers’ eyes. "You're quite beautiful, you know that?" Dean mumbled, part of the sound disappearing into his pillow. Castiel curled up under the covers, looking away for just a second. "Did I make you uncomfortable? Are you strai-" Dean started, but he stopped when Castiel's hand touched his shoulder. It was only a small touch, but it was skin against skin, and it sent a thrill through Dean's body. "This answer it?" Castiel asked, moving slightly closer. "Yeah, Cas," Dean muttered under his breath.
Dean moved a little closer too. Their noses almost touched. Castiel could feel Dean's breath on his face. He could smell him. He smelled so good. They just lay there for a while, staring into each other’s eyes as if they actually were a window to the soul. Then Cas's lips touched Dean's.
The receptionist was smiling at her desk. Nobody had decided to complain. She knew perfectly well what room she was giving out, but the looks the men had given each other had melted her little shipper heart.
A/N: *insert smut here if you want*In honour of destiel day, have one of the first fics I wrote! It was smut originally, but I'm awful at writing it so I just left it like this to end however you'd like. Hope ya enjoyed it a tad. Now I need to go write more.
The first time they met was when they bumped into each other by the slides, the second when Dean mouthed a "sorry" Castiel's way, and the third when they had the jacuzzi to themselves. (926 words)
Castiel was far from happy when he found out he would be forced to go to the local water park with his siblings. In fact, he tried to get out of it, even using excuses like "I have to clean my room" and "I've got homework," even though his mother knew perfectly well that his room was always clean and he always stayed ahead on his homework. "Good try," she'd responded, hushing on him to pack his swimming suit and a towel. "It's a family thing. Be a little social for once." With a loud sight Castiel had done as he was told to, and an hour later he was in his swimsuit and surrounded by water.
Samandriel immediately dragged him to the waterslide. "Come on, come one, come on!" he yelled excitedly as he pulled Castiel's hand. Once they were standing at the top of the stairs, a ridiculously long line ahead of them, Castiel realized how long this day was going to be. Once the line moved along a little, he turned to look back. People were already coming up behind them. "I'm too old for this, Sammy." Castiel immediately noticed where the voice came from. Dean Winchester, standing right behind him in line. Great.
Dean was hot. He was every girl's dream: buff, flirty and athletic, a charming smirk always on his lips. Okay, so maybe he was Castiel's dream guy too. It wasn't as if he hadn't ever had to stop himself from staring at Dean during class, or as if he didn't get really nervous when Dean looked at him, or sort of jealous every time he turned up with a new girl. Okay, Castiel realized, he most definitely had a massive crush on Dean Winchester. And now he was here. Great. Just great.
"It's your turn," Dean said with a smile, looking right at Castiel. Right. He had been entirely lost in thought, and probably staring too. He felt his cheeks flush. "Oh. Thank you." Castiel hurried down the slide and wished it would never end and he would disappear inside it, but even though the slide was slow and boring, he ended up in the pool. He suddenly hear a shriek from behind. A manly, deep shriek, but a shriek none of the less. "Cas, watch out!" Dean's voice echoed through the slide and Castiel turned toward it. It took Castiel a few seconds too many to react further, and suddenly his arms were filled with Dean. "Uhm, heya, Cas," he smiled. Castiel immediately let go and backed away, needing to get out of the danger zones, both the one that was the slide, and the one that was Dean. Dean was about to say something else, but luckily Samandriel came and dragged Castiel towards the stairs. "Again!" Castiel sighed. "Can't you go hang out with Anna or something?" he asked. "But you're my favorite sibling! Once more, please?" Castiel didn't understand why, but hesitantly agreed.
Five rides later, no further sight of Dean, Samandriel was tired of the slide. "It's boring now. Let's go in the pool." Castiel didn't protest. It was actually rather nice, going into the cold water. He swam around for a short while, keeping a close eye on Samandriel. It didn't take long for something else to catch his eye. Dean was laughing at the other side of the pool, tossing his brother into the water and getting violent splashing as a response. All of a sudden, Dean looked straight at Castiel. Well, the look didn't seem particularly straight in that way, rather the contrary. In fact, the look Dean was giving Cas was unmistakably the look Dean used on girls he liked. The fact that Castiel even knew that was probably a sign he should stop staring. Dean mouthed a "sorry" to Castiel, probably a notion to the slide incident, and turned his attention back to his brother. Castiel sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
Eventually Anna had come over to take over their younger sibling, and Castiel was left on his own. He didn't find the water park especially interesting. It had the pool, the slide, a small dining area and a Jacuzzi. Castiel decided on the last. Of course, walking towards it and realizing there was nobody in the jacuzzi except from Dean freaking Winchester, he became filled with regret. Well, Dean had already seen him, so there was no way back. Castiel awkwardly pulled up his shorts a little, feeling like they were hanging to low, and lowered himself into the warm water.
"It's getting hot in here," Dean said with a smirk. Castiel wasn't sure whether Dean was trying to flirt and was doing really bad at it, or simply commented on the temperature. "I guess," Castiel murmured, feeling his face turn red. "You know, I really am sorry about earlier. My brother pushed me down the slide." Castiel didn't think he had ever seen Dean looking any less than confident, but he actually looked a bit embarrassed just then. "Sammy's freaking huge for his age, man." Castiel nodded. "I know. He's in Samandriel's class." "Oh." They sat there in silence for a little bit.
"You're kinda cute, you know?" Dean suddenly said out of nowhere. "Really?" Castiel replied, bubbling with hope. "Nope. Hella cute, actually." The roles had changed, because this time Castiel was the one in Dean's arms. Eventually they pulled away, both with huge smiles on their faces. "You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that," Castiel smiled.
So my prompt was what kind of texts Misha sends to Jensen that he finds them amazing (based on Jensen's JIBcon praise of Misha about his amazing texts and tweets). You wanted fun, I'm sure Misha writes many of them, next to the smutty ones or the cute ones :)
Have a lil’ ficlet anon! This was the best I could come up with, I hope it’s okay :)
Jensen loves Misha. He loves his laugher, his smile, his stupid jokes, but one of the things Jensen loves the most, is his texts.
Can they be a pain in the ass? The answer is a loud and clear yes. Sometimes Jensen will be on set, and his phone constantly vibrates in his pocket. Half of those times Misha will be looking at him from someplace behind the camera, a huge smirk on his face, and Misha will just shake his head and give him the middle finger. However, Jensen always read the texts after and smile to himself.
Sometimes they’ll be eating lunch or something, and Jensen will playfully punch Misha in the arm and tell him to ”get the off your phone, Misha!”, and Misha will refuse and laugh as Jensen’s phone blows up in his pocket.
When Misha’s texts aren’t a pain in the ass, however, they’re fantastic. When they’re apart they’re consoling and kind. Wheter Jensen is at another con than Misha is, or only one of them is filming, or they’re both at home, that’s when Jensen loves the texts the most. He’ll be laying in bed next to Danneel and his smile will get even bigger as he sees the texts. They’ll be in the park with JJ and Danneel will look at his phone and they both break into laugher.
Sometimes the texts are just updates. Misha will tell Jensen about something stupid his kids have done or something cute or tell him that Vicky looks extra nice that day. Sometimes they’re about things he really cares about, like social rights issues or something to do with Random Acts. Sometimes they’re pictures, ones of his food or a selfie, and sometimes they’re jokes.
There are dirty texts. Jensen really likes those. Misha will tell him about what he wants do to him the next time they meet, and Jensen will blush furiously and hide between his phone. Those aren’t his favorite texts, though. His favorite texts are the cute ones.
Sometimes Misha drowns him in compliments and they make him blush much harder than the dirty ones. He’ll tell him cute and adorable and compliment his hair or his outfit, and when they meet Jensen will drag him into his trailer or his bedroom or wherever else private is nearby, and he’ll kiss Misha and tell him ”thank you” and Misha will say it back because Jensen does his best to reply with equally cute things, although he knows they can’t even be compared because Misha has a magical way with words.
Cas and Dean got together at the beginning of college. It's almost been a year and it's time to come out to Castiel's parents, whom by the way are very much homophobic and also in another country. (1363)
It was a beautiful morning at Stanford university. The sun was shining, even though it was early, and the birds were singing loudly. In one of the dorms, two boys were sharing Dean's bed, just like they always did. They'd been living together for almost a year now, and they'd been together most of that time. In a couple of days they would be splitting up for the first time, Castiel going back to his parents in London, and Dean going back to Kansas with his brother. Classes were over, and the boys were simply enjoying some time together.
When Dean woke up, Cas was staring at him. There was nothing unusual about this, not really. Cas always woke up first, and like he'd explained to Dean, he enjoyed looking at pretty things. Dean had never felt as flattered as he was just then. But today, Cas didn't have a slight smile on his lips, and he didn't wish Dean a good morning once his eyes opened, like he usually did. "You okay, buddy?" Dean asked, his arm already holding around the other boy. "I have to tell my parents, Dean."
Their relationship was far from perfect. Dean was overprotective, Cas became jealous straight away, Dean worked too much, and Cas had troubles with social norms. Still, they loved each other more than enough to get past those things. Their biggest problem was that Castiel still hadn't come out to his parents. Dean didn't really mind, but every now and then Cas would fall asleep when crying in Dean's arms because of it, and it broke his heart every time.
Dean took Castiel's hand in his under the covers. "You sure about this?" Dean asked, voice compassionate and loving. "It's been way too long already. I can't go back without them knowing." Dean gave his boyfriend a quick kiss on the lips. "Then do it." Dean smiled. Castiel tried smiling back, but he couldn't quite manage to.
Castiel texted his mom, and a short while after they were dressed, and a Skype call with Castiel's parents was being set up. "Dean... I've been thinking about this, and I don't want them to guess, you know? I want to tell them the whole thing before they react, and I think maybe you being here will make them guess and so.." You wouldn't know, but the words actually hurt Dean a little. He'd been waiting for this just as long as Castiel, and he wanted to see how it went, and offer Castiel support after, is necessary.
Dean stood up from the chair next to Castiel's. "I'll just be in my room then." He smiled. "No, Dean!" Castiel's voice sounded desperate. Hell, he was desperate. "Please don't leave me. Just stay away from the camera."
Dean let out a relieved "Oh." He kissed Cas again, and pulled his chair a little bit further to the left. Cas checked that Dean was out of the frame. Once he had done so, the annoying Skype ring tone filled the room. He took a deep breath and answered. Dean grabbed his hand under the desk.
"Hey mom, dad." Castiel's parents smiled at him with their fake smiles and bleached teeth. Being that rich had never done anyone any good, Dean though. "Hey Sweetie," his mom said. "Look," Castiel started. "I have something important to tell you." His mom's smile stayed the same, but his father immediately looked worried. "What is it, son ?" He asked. Dean though he almost sounded angry, like he knew what Castiel was going to say. As little as they knew their son, whatsoever, Dean doubted that.
Mrs and Mr Novak had never been the greatest of parents. Sure they'd given Castiel anything he pointed at that required money, but they never had all too much love of time left over for him. Castiel didn't feel like he knew them all too well. He's always been a misfit in his family, and even though his siblings grew up okay and had become just like his parents, Cas hadn't worked out that way. What Cas did know was that his parents were really Christian and really homophobic. That was why he'd waited so long to tell them.
"I always avoided letting you know, because I figured I didn't really have to. At first I thought that maybe if I shut up about it, it would disappear. Then I though that if I suppressed it enough I would be able to ignore it. But it just doesn't work." He took a deep breath, and Dean squeezed his hand extra tight. "I'm gay."
Both boys had been expecting yelling and hate straight away, but it actually took a few seconds of disagreeing and hateful silence before that begun. "I can't believe you are really our son," his dad said, voice being the audible version of poison. "There was always something about you. Even our parenting couldn't change it, and we should have realised that earlier ," his mom added.
Castiel didn't respond. The tears were coming down his face in wide streams, and he clearly has nothing to say back to them. Dean wanted to yell at them. The thing he wanted most in the world was to stand up and go in front of the camera and tell them. He wanted to tell them how messed up they were and swear and break stuff. He managed not to do any of those things. He didn’t want to make things worse. Instead he forced himself to behave. He leaned in to hang up on the call, and proceeded by scooping Castiel into his lap.
"I'm so sorry," Dean whispered, stroking the other boy’s hair over and over again. "It's gonna be okay, Cas." Castiel put his head on Dean's shoulder, and Dean held him close. They sat like that for a while, in comfortable silence, both lost in their own thoughts.
It was Cas that pulled away, eyes puffy and red from the crying. "I don't know what to do, Dean," he said. Dean wiped away some of the tears. "Stand up, angel," Dean whispered. Cas looked confused, but he did. Dean grabbed his boyfriend's hand once again, and led him to the bed. "Now sit, and stay." Cas did as he said, and Dean disappeared into the bathroom. Soon after he came back with a wet paper towel and a big glass of water. "Now let's clean all that salt of your face, should we?" Dean sat down next to Cas and wiped his teary cheeks.
"Now I want you to lay down," Dean said, and Castiel did so straight away. "And I'm gonna go get us something to eat. Drink that water before I get back, okay?" Cas just attempted to get comfortable and buried his face in the blankets. Dean took that as a yes.
By the time Dean was back, Cas was visibly better. Dean had brought cheeseburgers , and although Castiel's appetite wasn't all too great, he ate a little. "There are two ways to deal with this," Dean stated once he's finished his burger. Castiel looked at him curiously.
"We get drunk, or we get really drunk."
Castiel smiled. "That sounds nice, Dean."
The night after, once their hangovers were somewhat better and their brains were working decently, Cas realised he had quite the problem. "I have nowhere to spend the summer," he mumbled. "It's not like I'm gonna go visit my parents anymore." Dean smiled, as he didn't really see that as much of a problem. "Yeah, about that."
When Dean was going to get food the day before, he had met Sam in the hall and described the problem. Sam, kind as he was, had offered straight away to call their parents and fix it all up.
"You can come stay with us, Cas," he smiled. Cas's entire face lit up. "I can?" He asked, somewhat more cheerful than he had been a second ago. "Sam's fixed it all. You ready for a road trip, Cas?"
Cas laughed. "After some more Aspirin and a couple hours of packing, I think I am."
Dean smiled. "This is gonna be the best summer ever."

He was so hot. Dean was having a really hard time taking his eyes off of him. The guy was tan and muscular, his hair dark and messy and just slightly wet. He was throwing a beach ball around with who Dean assumed was his mother and his sibling. The sibling was a small blonde, and he eagerly threw the ball.
”Dean,” Jo yelled laughingly, spashing a ton of water right in his face. ”Dammit, Jo!” he yelled back, splashing double the amount back. The water was warm, heated by the sun through the big glass wall separating them form the outside. He could see the beach a distance away, and some adults sitting in chairs outside.
He and Jo hung out for a good while, taking the slide (it was for kids and not particularly fun, but that didn’t stop them), hanging out in the bathtub and swimming around, playfully pushing each other underwater. Dean kept sneaking looks at the guy, distractedly observing the blue-eyed beauty and sometimes getting weird looks from his mother. Whatever. Blue eyes looked at him too, sneakily, thinking Dean wouldn’t notice, but he did. Hell yes he did.
After a couple of hours Dean had gotten a bit too caught up in his cheese burger. He didn’t notice the guy leaving, and it took until he was back in the pool to notice that the guy wasn’t there. Neither was his family. ”Gotta pee,” Dean mumbled, and quickly got out of the water, nearly slipping as he ran to the warderobe with wet feet.
He went through the showers, into the changing room, and there he was. The guy on his own, already changed and with a bag over one shoulder.
Dean took a step closer to the guy, still standing on the opposite side of the room. ”Uh, hi,” he said, looking down.
”Hey,” the guy answered, voice deep and beautiful and holy shit.
”I saw you playing with, uh, was it your family?”
”Yeah, yeah. Saw you with your girlfriend, too.”
Dean looked at him confusedly, then laughed. ”Ah, no, that’s just Jo, a family friend. She’s not really my type anyway, so uh, yeah.”
”Thank God,” the boy smirked. ”Am I? Your type, I mean?”
”Yes…” Dean said, dragging out the end of the word in hope of a name.
”Cas-” Cas started, and then there someone knocked on the door.
”Huurrrryyyy,” a small voice yelled, the knocking still present.
”I’m coming Samandriel, just two sec!” Cas yelled, then turning back to Dean.
”Alright, Cas. I’m Dean.”
”Well, Dean, you are very much my type, too. I kind of have to go, though. Want to exhange numbers or something?”
Dean smiled. ”Yes please.” Ignoring the fact that he was still dripping wet, he unlocked his locker and grabbed his phone. He typed in his code and handed it to the g- Cas. He plotted in his number and they awkwardly said goodbye, Dean locking his phone in again and then heading back to Jo and Cas going out to his family.
Eventually Dean and Jo left as well, jumping on their bikes and going back to the house. They were on vacation together, and their families had rented a house out by the sea.
The bike ride was nice. They laughed and giggled and tried to get to the house first. Dean was extra happy. He felt his phone in his pocket. They biked and biked. There were hardly any cars on the road, and it was quiet.
Eventually they got to the house, throwing them self onto the sofa and turning on the television.
”You bike too damn fast. I’m exhausted,” Jo sighed.
”It’s not like you had to try to come first,” Dean shrugged.
”Nah, that’s exactly how it is.”
Ellen came over, a big smile on her face. ”Hey Dean, any hot girls at the pool?” she smiled.
Dean felt the smile dissapear from his face. People were so ignorant! Ellen was nice, she really was, but he wasn’t quite okay with her just then.
His phone plinged in his pocket.

Wanna meet, Dean? – Cas
Dean felt a little better. ”Nope. No hot girls.”
Ellen smiled and looked to Jo. ”Any good looking guys then, Jo?”
Jo shook her head.
Dean shook his too. Clearly, there had been a very good looking one. He was texting him back in that exact moment.
Here, have a story from my summer break last year. We were in Denmark, and pretty much exactly this happened. Except, you know, I’m a girl and I was there with two boys. There was this really pretty girl there with her family, and I kept looking at her and she looked back at me, and all this happened minus the part where Dean actually talked to Cas and got his number and that. Because I’m a wimp. Moral of the story is, don’t be so ignorant, please. Don’t just assume that everyone is straight. It hurts. (Also don’t be a wimp. Talk to people you like. That’s how I got a girlfriend in the end. (Over the internet, but that's another story.))
When Cas runs out of the classroom after being insulted for being gay, his boyfriend, Dean, follows him to offer some necessary emotional support. (908 words)
"Fucking faggot." Dean had heard those words so many times before. He was usually quite good at ignoring it. People had been throwing them at him for years, nothing he couldn't deal with. But this was different. This time, it lit up a fire in him. He could feel his body as it got increasingly tense. He had heard the word so many times before, but never pointed at his boyfriend.
