Logan couldn’t help it. Most of the people he’s been around wouldn’t be able to take the heat. It’d kill them. Knowing that there’s someone with the same level of tolerance for pain still takes some getting used to on his end, Laura herself would be able to attest to that time and time again.
That doesn’t make any of this hurt less. It’s still enough to kill an ordinary man, but Logan ain’t ordinary. Unfortunately, this means he feels all of it, the flames searing through him and turning flesh into charred strings. The adamantium coating his bones makes it worse, intensifying the flames.
He collapses to the ground, fires having taken their toll on his body. To say that he looked like a corpse here would be an understatement. Whatever was left of him barely resembled anything human. It was more like the charred remains of a human than anything else. The fact that his healing factor keeps producing new flesh just as quickly as it’s burned gives the room a rancid stench of death.
And with the flames gone, the healing factor can actually be effective here, undoing the damage and putting new things in the place of damaged things. It still hurts like hell, because it feels like everything is being undone, but it keeps Logan moving. But healing from all of this? That’s gonna take some time.
By the time his ears get back to normal, he can hear Hisako yelling something at him. He groans for a second, before forcing himself to sit back up. All in all... not the worst experience he’s had with being burned alive.
