Ienelies Stride/Dagoth!

•He’s the strongest of everyone!

Physically, not magically. That one belongs to Alidae. But in fitness terms he’s the most healthy and physically fit out of all of them, lifting most things quite easily and being incredibly useful in fist-fights (mostly bar fights though). He has a quite thin body type though so he looks rather serpentine and slender when he could probably snap someone in half.

•He’s actually quite a softy.

He puts on a charming and flamboyant façade (being the Demiprince of Sanguine requires some level of charm and ability to act like you’re okay) but in his most vulnerable and open, he’s relatively soft and anxious. He’ll mumble over his words and occasionally let out his stutter that he constantly has to repress, he’ll curl into some blankets or his bed and just yearn to cuddle with his husband, that sort of thing.

•He has memory loss.

This’s a given for a mer that’s constantly drunk and/or high. He has entire sections of his memory, days even weeks sometimes, that he was too drunk to be able to recall.

•He’s quite an attention whore.

If he isn’t getting attention from somewhere then he’ll throw a sulky tantrum and do outlandish things to attempt to regain any attention he can. There’s no known limit to the outlandish and, admittedly, stupid things he’ll do for attention.

•He’s incredibly good with traveling over the sea.

He spent 10 years of his mortal life aboard a pirate ship after he was seduced by their captain, so he’s pretty good with handling a ship and its crew. He also gets kind of seasick.

•He’s a talented swordsman.

Being a swordsman, he’s learned to be quick on his feet and constantly aware of his surroundings. He can expertly wield two swords at once and dueling is almost something he can do on auto-pilot. He’s completely useless at magic and archery though, so unless he has a sword in his hands he’ll almost definitely lose a fight.

•He gets constant nightmares.

Night terrors are a frequent and terrible occurrence in Ienelies’ life. Most nights he’ll wake up screaming in terror, thrashing around and crying hysterically. This habit is such a constant for him that Rin has to keep a candle lit in their bedroom so he recognises his husband when he wakes up crying. There’s been a few times when Ienelies has woke up and not recognised his own husband, then attempting to stab him with the dagger he insists on keeping under his pillow - Rin speaks fondly (and often shows the scar) of the one time Ienelies did actually stab him during this event.

in my state of not being able to leave my bed without literally collapsing, i’ve been thinking about these two a lot!! i imagine Ali would’ve been totally different when he was dating Ienelies 💕

i’ve had this shitpost in my head for a few days, and as awful quality as it is, i made it. and it exists now.

poor ienelies though - my boy’s got a couple of issues 😔

i suppose it makes sense for a demiprince/mantle of sanguine to have repressed trauma - it doesn’t make me any less sad about him though
