The IEP process is a grueling one. The stress, pressure, anxiety, you would think would be enough. Right? But no, that is not all! You also have to deal with the school District and staff lying to you, to your face! You have to deal with the trickery and fall for believing false statements, that your child is making sufficient progress. They will lead you to believe this by showing you data (not really), that they know is not grade level really progress. Why? Because they play on our weakness of not knowing the whole IEP process, or all the intricacies of the IDEA. Believe me I know! I totally fell for it years ago. It sucks and it is all because we do put our faith and trust in them. Believing they know best. Think Again!!
