By the by did they decide to split the season into two cours because they read pacing/ adaptation related reviews about second cour of Season 2???

Because as I said earlier, TAD/KnH is its Story, there is nothing else saving it if too much fiddling happens with the course of story in the original material...It was fine with Shi clan arc as this becomes rather peripheral in the main story for foreseeable future but with future arcs, rushing in pace and adaptation would be a big risk, so I would rather have them take their time in adapting than messing the high quality of authenticity the creatives have so far shown in anime adaptation...

Really have my fingers crossed! Vol. 5 onwards has some cinematic level story arcs and sub-plots...

I hope franchise always gets the art of storytelling it deserves....

There is some controversy on Tofu's keeper. I don't want to be involved in drama, but I also like to be transparent as I didn't know anything other than the videos I saw when I made my analysis based on that, giving his keeper the benefit of the doubt this was genuine behavior. There's a reddit thread with evidence the videos might be evidence of mistreatment and the snake is being teased with something that upsets him from offscreen to generate content and videos. It's sad if that's true. This is the evidence others have presented of possible mistreatment. Tofu's keeper also responded with a video of her own responding to those claims.

I'll leave it up to you to decide.
