1. Race: Dwarf! I think playing myself as a dwarf would be great b/c you’re surrounded by all this magic-y stuff and knowing actual me in Thedas I’d probably be freaking out about it.

2. Class/Spec: Definitely Tempest Archer. (It was actually tough to pick a spec, because none of them 100% fit me, but Tempest felt best.)

9. Varric’s Nickname: MINNIE. It’s my me!Hawke and me!Shepard name, and in-game he would call me!Inquisitor Minnie because I’d probably be a tiny dwarf. <3 SMALL BUT STRONG

18. My Romance: In-game me!Inquisitor is gonna romance Josie but honestly it’s probably a toss-up between her and Cullen because I KNOW I’d have a total fuckin head-over-heels crush on Cullen in-universe.

Coming to your ask so not to clutter up your reblogs - it happens to be one of my all time favourite series! When you mentioned "various countries" it could only have been the Belgariad! LOVE your art by the way, please keep doing what you're doing! <3

good idea! that post was getting p lengthy. YEAH of the little I can remember of Belgariad, I remember it being a HUGE (as in long-reaching, like holy shit let’s go to every corner of this fictional world) story. Also magic. And gods. And lots of god-related drama, lol. I don’t think I can’t remember the story because I didn’t like it, I think it’s just been awhile since I read the series. I wonder if my library has the books..?

Thanks! The beginning is pretty hard. I got my ass beaten so many times by rifts in the Hinterlands and barely got to start In Hushed Whispers because the two soldiers who attack you and Dorian right in the beginning of the mission. :D (the boss wasn’t nearly as difficult compared to them)

I just did a lot of grinding... I tried to do all main missions with a little over leveled characters if possible. I also crafted much more than on my first playthrough. Basic things really. It just took a lot of patience. If some approach doesn’t seem to work try to think it through and see if the area offers you any other way. (I closed one rift by standing on a hill where the demons couldn’t get to. Killing them took a long time but... at least I won?)

I don't know which class you’re playing as but I was a mage (for the first time of my life and I hadn’t accustomed to it at all. it was awful at first and i played much more as sera. :D) and after I became Knight Enchanter the game became so much easier. If you’re a mage I can’t recommend Knight Enchanter enough (some say it feels like cheating but I say it’s logical not to want to get killed).

Also! Make extra save before starting a mission and DON’T ACCIDENTALLY OVERWRITE IT DURING THE MISSION LIKE I DID. I almost lost ten hours of progress because I got stuck on the last fight in attack on Haven. (Btw, it may be a good idea to make some other character to turn the trebuchet while you distract the attackers.)

so... to conclude my actual advice: PATIENCE. Try to plan things. PATIENCE.
