We got another show for ya. Inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s “Poe Man Dreams” lyric “Exercise your ism, and don’t depend on no one else“, I’ve decided to name the event “The Ism” to pay homage to the ones that are sticking true to their visions. The ones who preferred to be outcasts and not follow the rules or the norms of their surroundings and refused to be like the majority. The nonconformists. The artists that can see a different set of colors and visions than others. Each performer in this event is following their own ism. From Warsan Shire, to Ibn Najeeb, Ahmed Knowmadic,Scott Ramirez, Lishai, Waleed Kush Jazz Ensemble, Rua El-Kasheef, Victor 3-Card Byenkya and Sergio Guerra aka Hyf the GypsySun there is an obvious pattern. Each artist has their own belief system. Their own ideas. Their own voice and style. And all of them are projecting it with the world by applying their isms.
