On vacation, so I decided to finish Ifrit!Lewis, which I’ve been working on since The Future video came out and rekindled my juu-bees for doodling MSA <3 I wrestled with his design back in 2015 a ton, which was VERY obvious. I’m more confident in my own arts now and I think that reflects here. It was nice to do some ‘for fun arts’ ^__^
Ifrit gonna have to shrink himself in general so he's not like... spearing people with his dick. What a painful way to go, death by dick. ~the true reason Lewis died~
((No worries. He is mindful of size differences. The ‘smallest’ he can get is 6ft/ ~1.8 meters tall. Everything scale to match.
In any NFSW rp he’s been in, mostly over Discord/Skype, he’s never been at his full size.
And pftt, are you saying the cave was full of large dicks that Lewis died on??))
A beautiful dress, a song from Arthur and two supernatural creatures that love the blonde mechanic - a nice ghost and an evil demon. But which one will get a dance with Arthur?
Yoshi Raven: Damn. It will be a dress again, he was sure of it. That pervert liked boys in dresses too much for letting him walk around in a suit. He helped a bit but realized soon they didn´t need him, so he just walked back to his room, waiting for the next awful dress he´d have to wear.
Charlie McCarthey: The Deadbeat was awake now and apparently lonely, because it beelined for him the second he walked through the door and velcro-ed to his stomach, chirping delighted high notes, tiny tail wagging the air.
Yoshi Raven: "... you´re behaving like you are a part of Lewis´ love for me" Arthur giggled, closing the door and immediately petted the tiny ghost. "It´s just too damn cute, little guy. You don´t want to go back to your master, hm?"
Charlie McCarthey: It wiggled it's slightly tangerine tail at him as if this explained everything, and tried nibbling on his vest idly as it settled in his arms and made itself comfy.
The moment was broken by a knock on the door, one of the other 'maids' bringing in, unsurprisingly, a rather pretty gown, all things considered.
Yoshi Raven: "... alright. Thank you." Arthur took the gown and carefully placed it on the bed, looking at it.
It was a dark blue, almost black, with silver sequins on it, starting with many at the chest and going down the skirt and decreasing in numbers, which made it look like a starry sky.
".... whoa. This is awesome..." he mumbled, then got out of his maid dress and started getting into the gown - which was a little difficult.
Charlie McCarthey: The deadbeat watched him in confusion for several minutes, watching him struggle with a blank look. Finally it got what he was trying to accomplish, and grabbed the zipper in the back with its pointy little teeth and hauled it up when he was ready.
It sang a series of notes at him in askance, giggling at the sparkly spots on the dress and tapping them cheerfully.
Yoshi Raven: "Thank you. Be careful with the dress, please, little guy..."
That deadbeat didn´t want to leave his side, Arthur was sure of it. It was like he was it´s new master.
"... I think you need a name. You behave like a pet, and a pet needs a name."
Charlie McCarthey: The pink and orange ghost sang out a short note that sounded vaugely like an agreement, and anyway it didn't seem to mind whatever it was their Maker's other half was talking about. It could just be the deadbeat liked hearing Arthur's voice, too. It moved it's orange tail and coasted under his arm, cramming its head into his palm for pets.
Yoshi Raven: "Hmmm.... I guess I´ll call you Gear, then. Do you like that name? Gear?" he asked, gently petting the tiny ghost. It also had the colour of his soul. That deadbeat really was attached to Arthur now. So cute.
Charlie McCarthey: 'Gear' hummed a bit, making a reverberting noise that sounded like it was trying to mimic the word. It didn't really work though, still stuck making musical notes as it curled around Arthur cheerfully and nuzzled under his chin.
Yoshi Raven: "I think that´s a yes."
He petted him a little longer, then placed Gear on the bed. "I have an important task for you. Since Lewis can understand you, go tell him about the event here and that they should try to attend the ball, too. Got it?" He looked at him, smiling.
Charlie McCarthey: Gear sat there staring up, its little chest puffed out that it had an important task! Well! Proudly, the little puffed out deadbeat raised a tiny nub and sang a few notes that were meant to assure Arthur that it had everything under control. It's long tail slipped through the pan as it snaked out the window and vanished.
Yoshi Raven: Well, Arthur had a new pet. A ghostly one, but so cute.
He adjusted a few details on his new look - if he had to wear a gown, he´d make it at least perfect - and waited until he was called from another "maid" that it was time to get out.
Charlie McCarthey: It was almost an hour before he was called down, Gear hadn't returned, but presumably the message had been given. The ballroom was strung up and looked gorgeous, and a few of the guests had already arrived.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur was close to the entrance door, looking around. His boss had a good sense of interior decoration, and a very bad taste about his employees. Putting good looking men into maid dresses and gowns, what a pervert.
He noticed the guests had masks on their faces. Colourful, with feathers or glitter, some even had small jewels on them. He had a bad feeling about this.
Charlie McCarthey: It was hard to tell who anyone was, but he wasn't given the chance to mingle because his boss took his arm and lead him to the center of the room.
"We'll begin tonight's affair with a song from my lovely worker here." He all but purred, handing Arthur a wireless mic and giving him that oily smile.
Yoshi Raven: If it wasn´t for the mission, Arthur would´ve punched that guy with the mic until he would shut up.
But now, all of the guests were staring at him, making him nervous. He never had to sing in front of so many people and he was sure they´d hate his voice.
Calm down, he thought. Think about singing to just one person. One who wouldn´t make fun of you... one you trust and love...
His mind wandered to Lewis, and he remembered a song he always wanted to sing since he fell in love with him.
Arthur started singing, his voice calm and soothing. It was about fear, bad dreams and a hurt soul and how it can be healed by the one you love most. Only the people who knew Arthur could find the small hints in the text about the one he was singing about.
Charlie McCarthey: His voice was good, and it held the guest's attention amazingly, two people in particular anyway. They were both at opposite ends of the room and were unaware the other was even in the vicinity, they were so distracted by Arthur's singing.
The other one watching him was his boss, his gaze much to focused and dark on him, smile a little too cruel, demeneor a little too cold.
Yoshi Raven: When the song was over, he thanked the other guests for their attention and received applause which made him a little nervous again. Arthur just wasn´t used to that much attention which was not... bullying him.
He quickly walked to the closest butler and gave him the mic. What now? His boss had asked about a dance before... but would he really demand dancing with him...?
Charlie McCarthey: Other music has started up again, the crowd dispersing to either stand on the sidelines and talk, while others still paired into two and took the dance floor to the lovely music that was being played.
"Can I bother you for a dance, Artie?" The voice wasn't his boss, and it wasn't Lew's. But it was familiar, and the tall figure dressed up behind him had a pair of familair green eyes glinting behind his mask.
"Don't look so tense, I'm here for some fun for once. Won't get any trouble out of me, sweetie, demon's honor." He purred teasingly.
Yoshi Raven: He needed a moment until he realized who that was.
"Fun, you say? Suure. Your definiton of "fun" or mine, Envy?" he growled quietly. Arthur looked over to his boss who gave him a glare that said Dance! Now! which meant he had no choice but to agree to the invitation.
"Sadly, I have to dance with you because I have no choice..." he mumbled and stepped closer to the demon.
Charlie McCarthey: "Aw, come on now. We both know you really do just want to dance with me." Envy declared cheerfully as he took the other's hand and led him to the dance floor. He wasn't really being scary, and then he turned his head so Arthur could spot the stalks of choppy green hair jutting out this way and that, or the slight point to the semi-human's ears.
"There's no need to hide your feelings, gorgeous."
Yoshi Raven: "Flattering yourself? I thought your name was Envy and not Pride. I hate you for everything you did you bastard and I´d rather eat a bowl of Bhut Jolokias than dance with you." he said with a cold voice. "And don´t call me that. You have no right to do so."
They reached the middle of the dance floor but Arthur wouldn´t start dancing. No way. Never. Nope.
Charlie McCarthey: Envy's twisted smile didn't falter. "It's either dance with harmless little old me or go back to that touchy feely perv. That's right--I know what he wants to do to you. I know what he's done to others too." Envy was still smirking down at him. "But you're off limits to bothersome pests like him, that's why I showed up. You don't belong to that asshole."
Yoshi Raven: Damn. Envy was right. If he wasn´t busy dancing with guests, that pervert would probably use a dance to try the spell on him again. And Envy? He couldn´t attack him here, it would cause panic and blow his own cover, revealing he´s a demon.
Arthur suppressed the urge to murder him and slowly placed his right hand on his shoulder and took his hand with his own free hand.
"I don´t belong to you as well" he growled.
Charlie McCarthey: "Give it time." The demon hummed mildly as he took the lead with more skill than a monster like him should posses. But his movements were smooth and fluid, guiding Arthur around the dance floor with that trademark sneer in place.
"I have to ask. Why are you here in this dump in the first place? You can't have left that pink oaf, I'm not that lucky am I?"
Yoshi Raven: He really wondered where Envy had learned to dance like that. Was there a school for good manners and social skills in demon hell?!
"None of your business. And I think you didn´t understand yet that I won´t leave Lewis. Never. Also, I´d never choose you, neither as a friend, neighbour, co-worker and especially not as a partner. Why should I?! You made me kill Lewis and attacked us more than once, always trying to murder both of us." Arthur had a hard time keeping his anger and voice down.
"Besides, Lewis and I have a connection even you can´t break - " He stopped talking, his right hand was clawing strongly into Envy´s suit out of anger. Arthur realized he had mentioned the connection. Hopefully, he wouldn´t know about it´s real meaning. The dress had enough fabric to cover the mark, and a connection could be everything.
Charlie McCarthey: "Temper. You don't want to call that pet of yours." Envy grinned, eyes flashing playfully. "Don't inflict pain in a demon and expect them to not enjoy it, my lovely. Besides, if you're after that necklace of his I'd be careful. It's already nine souls full and just about ready to summon its dijinn - don't look surprised I'm a demon, you think I don't know my enchanted artifacts? But it's got a lovely weakness to ice water. Anyway you're welcome for the information. It's not free of charge though--" and like that, they ended their dance and Envy swooped in, pushing the mask up to kiss Arthur on the cheek lighting quick.
Yoshi Raven: "What do you mean, my artifact - hey!" Arthur took a step away from him, glaring at Envy. "You´ll pay for this, Envy. I´ll murder you soon." he growled.
Why would he help them with this case...? He wasn´t sure if he should believe him or not.
Charlie McCarthey: Envy just grinned and blew him another kiss as he got some distance between them.
"Like I said. You're not that assholes. Anything to take the idiot down a few pegs. Even if it means helping you dumb little club thing."
"...Arthur?"
"Took you long enough, pinkie."
The figure was taller than Envy, a large hand settling on Arthur's shoulder.
"Calm down, ghostboy. He's fine, see?"
Yoshi Raven: "Get lost, Envy." was his last comment to that demon, then turned to Lewis. Damn, he looked good with that suit...
"I´m okay, Lew. He behaved... for once." Arthur sighed, then smiled at him.
"Wanna dance with me?"
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis kind eyes flashed down at him, switching his hold to more comforting and secure. "I'd love to, Artie. Also... I can't imagine the dress was your idea?" But damn did it look good on him.
Yoshi Raven: "I had no choice but to wear it. I´d prefer a suit, much more comfortable than this."
He took his right hand and placed his own on his shoulder just like he did with Envy, but it was far more relaxed.
"It does look fabulous, though... you are responsible for the steps, Lew. I´m the smaller one with the dress ~ " he purred.
Charlie McCarthey: "Don't worry Artie. You're in safe hands." Lewis assured as he took the lead carefully, his body much warmer than a normal humans and hands steady and gentle. He turned them easily, glancing over Arthur's shoulder once when he noticed the spot of green at the punch bowl. He sent a challenging look at the demon in disguise, just short of sticking his tongue out at him.
Envy was watching now, his glass cup disintegrating in his grip as he eyed the two jealousy. And after Lewis little show? Bastard. His left eye flashed a deep blue and the demons mind had been made up.
"So what did Envy even say? He said something and you looked surprised..."
Yoshi Raven: "He actually gave me some useful information about the artifact. It has 9 of 10 souls already. We have to be careful. But it´s weakness is water. Ice water. Although, I´m not quite sure if we can believe him about that.... and he told me this thing is one of his magic items. What else. Causing trouble everywhere."
Arthur leaned a bit against Lewis´ chest, enjoying the warmth coming from his body.
"Anyway, we have to get it today or it will be a disaster."
Charlie McCarthey: "Ice water? Strange but... it's worth a shot. If the amulet's his, and since he's fire based like I am, I guess it wouldn't surprise me if water kept that thing contained. I certainly don't like that stuff..." Lewis mused quietly as he moved them, holding Arthur to his chest and feeling his anxiety lesson that Artie was in fact okay.
"We better get it tonight, then." He agreed, focused back on Arthur completely.
Yoshi Raven: "Yes. I think ice water will work. He probably lost the amulet acidentally and now that the guy had activated the spell, he probably can´t get it back and wants to destroy it because he can´t stand seeing a human use it..."
Arthur looked up at him, smiling.
"By the way, you´re a good dancer."
Charlie McCarthey: "I can see that." Lewis nodded at his other half's thinking about Envy and the amulet, before blinking at the compliment and then smiling warmly.
"Well I happen to have a great partner." He reminded, thumb stroking Arthur's skin lovingly as he kept his hand in place. "Well have to do this again sometime, but right now..." He lowered his voice into a whisper, „I need to get back to Vivi and tell her what we know. Keep alert--and be careful, yeah Artie?" He murmured, not liking the idea of having to put so much space between them but he didn't have a choice.
Yoshi Raven: He blushed a bit. "Alright. I´ll be careful as always and if I need you, I´ll call, my cotton candy."
Arthur took his hand, moving it close to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on the back of his hand.
"Now, go. I want to finish this mission quickly."
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis nodded and dissappeared into the crowd. He'd only been gone a handful of minutes when a hand caught Arthur's wrist and caught him, spinning him into Envy's arms instead of sending him crashing to the ground. This time the predatory look was in full swing, but the demon's eyes kept switching between blue and green, like the demon couldn't make up its mind to allow which power in control.
"You totally owe me another dance, sweetie." Envy's grip looked polite and concerned but it wasn't, his fingers digging a bit, palm wandering downwards.
Yoshi Raven: He was startled by the sudden attack but glared at the demon seconds later.
"I don´t owe you a dance, why do you even..."
Wait. Envy demanded another dance after Lewis...
He grinned. "Don´t tell me Envy himself got jealous. That is funny, somehow. I thought you were spreading these emotions instead of having them..."
Arthur didn´t like his changing eyes. He was planning something and it wouldn´t be nice.
Charlie McCarthey: He could hear the anger in Envy's tone, along with another emotion entirely. "You don't know a thing about demons, boy, do you? Why do you think we're so good at spreading our title? We have to know it, live and breathe it..." Finally the emerald gave way to a cerulean hue, his voice shifting a bit as another spoke in his place.
"It's so awful, you know?“ Came the woeful, soft tone from the tired sounding Lust as his aura bled through and he stroked Arthur's cheek longingly. This was one of his better tricks, acting the victim to let the other's guard down. His glowing eyed bored into Arthur's. "Wanting something you can't have... and you'd do anything to get it? Haven't you felt that desire, Arthur?" The demon murmured, pulling the unresisting body close and exhaling happily.
Yoshi Raven: Somehow, Arthur let himself get pulled very close to Envy. His voice was just... sweet. Even his aura, it felt gentle. Not cold and evil as before.
"... everyone had this feeling at one point in his life, but some choose to get over it... " he mumbled, looking into his eyes. They were beautiful...
Wait, what was he thinking?!
Arthur turned his head, looking away from him. "Why do you even care?! Let go of me."
Charlie McCarthey: But the grip stayed persistant, fingers petting lightly.
"I'm not him right now... can't you tell? Just one more dance... please? I know you'd never give me more." The voice whispered, pushing the spell through his mouth too so that his voice was just as enchanting, in any sense of the word.
"I just want this, that's all. You're beautiful... clever... kind... what's not to care about, hm?"
Lewis walked back into the large room, glancing around to see first where the boss was, and when he wasn't an issue, he started looking for that shock of hair.
Yoshi Raven: His voice was charming and the spell was like a magnet for Arthur. His heart was beating slightly faster and he felt... fine, although he was close to his arch-enemy. He felt the same warmth in his soul with Envy just like when he was with Lewis... but why?
"... alright. One dance..." he mumbled, looking at him again and more and more reluctant of not looking into that beautiful eyes.
Charlie McCarthey: Lust smiles and hums a low "See? It's not so bad. Thank you." Never under estimate the power of those silly human phrases that had everything to do with being polite. What nonsense. But nonsense that worked, the demon supposed.
Arthur seemed hardly aware of the wandering hands that came with said dance, and anytime he looked like he was getting a little too aware Lust spoke soft, comforting words to him. Sometimes you caught more flies with honey than vinegar, Envy.
He felt the other demon snarl in their crammed together soul, but knew Envy was too distracted by their obsession nearly jello in their arms to really do anything else.
Yoshi Raven: After a while, Arthur had leaned against him just like he did before with Lewis, his mind dazed with the demon´s power and not caring about his hands. He enjoyed the other´s warmth and looked up at him, smiling.
Half of Arthur´s eyes had a bluish-green hue, and he licked his lips slightly. Calling out for him to kiss...
Charlie McCarthey: Suddenly Envy was on board, Lust was being all but pushed to answer those lovely looking lips. Well, who was he to say no? The little human wanted it after all...
So down Lust leaned, slotting their lips together easily for a brief moment, halting their steps.
Yoshi Raven: A part of his mind screamed don´t, the rest was under the demons spell, not caring about this at all.
Arthur kissed back, clawing a bit over Envy´s back and slowly licked over his lips, inviting him for more.
But at the same time, his soul called out for Lewis weakly and Envy could sense the bond these two had because of the kiss.
Charlie McCarthey: Well isn't THAT interesting... Envy cackled, no longer paying attention to the brat but rather the figure suddenly storming through the crowd. Now that he knew what to look for, it was almost glaring obvious the long string that connected the two.
Hm? Lust asked as he held Arthur close. Envy went silent, not warning Lust about the oncoming purple train. The next thing the blue eyed demon knew he was grabbed by his collar and hauled off his feet and backwards in a single yank.
"The hell do you think you're pulling you piece of shit--"
But the demon's eyes flashed green once more, and Envy sneered, getting right into Lew's face.
Yoshi Raven: The second Envy was pulled from Arthur, his mind jumped free from the spell and he woke up.
"Eh...? What the..." He realized what the demon had done and wanted to kill him just like Lewis currently, but he knew it would warn the criminal and the amulet was almost activated -
"Lewis, not here! Not now!"
Arthur got over to the ghost, hugging him and hoped he could stop him from going on a rampage.
"I want him dead for what he did, too, but you can hunt him down when the case is over...! Please!"
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis put an arm around him without thinking, but his glare hadn't moved. The only thing that kept him from getting to the demon was the fact Arthur was right in front of him--nevermind he could have easily pushed Arthur out of the way with his finger if he choose to.
But he heard the 'please' and his growls softened, glancing down at his other half with a searching worried gaze.
"You okay?" He simply asked, letting Envy wink and saunter off on them.
Yoshi Raven: "Somehow... that bastard kissed me, Lewis" he growled quietly. "I need a brainwash of that event and new lips. Bleh."
Arthur looked for his "boss" and luckily, he wasn´t there. Probably busy in the kitchen, giving orders on working faster or something.
"Actually, you can help with that... get that awful kiss out of my mind, Lew" he mumbled, then grabbed his hand and pulled him to a door close to them, opened it and left the room. He needed a kiss from the one he really loved. Envy´s spell had caused some confusion. Didn´t he once say ghosts were able to control emotions...?
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis blinked a little, because this wasn't like Arthur but... he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He nodded, following obediantly and closing the door on them.
"C'mere, it's okay." Lewis shushed, because the poor guy looked pretty shaken, not that Lewis blamed him.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur immediately hugged him, his hands trembling a bit.
"I love you" he whispered, looking into Lewis´ eyes before kissing him gently, hands clawing strongly.
Lewis would never make Arthur fall in love. He couldn´t. He wouldn´t. Right..?
But it has been so easy for Envy...
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis' heart just about broke, pushing his mask off and hugging Arthur right back tightly. His expression was twisted in worry and affection.
"I love you too, Artie. It's okay, I got ya." He assured, bending down and kissing him quickly.
Yoshi Raven: It was a sweet, gentle kiss and this felt much better than... the other. His mind didn´t feel foggy and being close to Lewis was so much better, too.
Arthur changed to a deep kiss and slowly relaxed in his arms. This was real, he was sure of it.
Charlie McCarthey: It lasted longer than usual, it wasn't like Lew needed to breath. He broke it though when he felt Arthur needed it, still gripping him close and warm. He cupped the mechanic's cheek, thumb brushing his jaw gently as he held him.
"You're okay, Artie. I'm here. Nothing's gonna get you."
Yoshi Raven: He smiled, catching his breath.
"I know. You´re watching over me. Always."
He leaned against him. Arthur would never doubt his feelings for him ever again.
After a while, he remembered the mission and giggled.
"We should return, there´s still the amulet I have to get."
Charlie McCarthey: "Be careful." The mother hen grumped, reluctantly letting him go and following him out the door. "Shit, I think you're boss is looking for you... well. It's now or never, Artie." Lewis whispered as he put some distanct between them. "Don't be afraid to call if you need me."
Yoshi Raven: "I will call, as always." he answered quietly, then made his way to his boss.
"You... were looking for me?" he asked with a fake sweet smile.
Charlie McCarthey: "I've have enough sharing you, it's time for us to have some special time together, understood?" The man purred in his ear, gripping his wrist gently but firmly as he tugged him closer.
"I'd like a dance, first of all. Since you seem so good at it."
Yoshi Raven: Of course he´d like to dance. And probably place his hand a bit more down than usual...
"As you wish." His fake smile never left his face as he got in the correct position.
Arthur would totally send Lewis after that idiot as soon as they´ll have the amulet.
Charlie McCarthey: "Something wrong, dearest?" The man said lazily as he spotted a bit of a strained look. "You're staring at the medallion." It was hanging around his chest, half tucked into his suit in fact, and it looked brighter than before.
Yoshi Raven: "Nothing is wrong. I just thought it looks... nice. Haven´t seen such a medallion before."
He knew he´d try it again. Of course, if just one more soul was required for it to activate... why waiting for another employee if one is still available.
Charlie McCarthey: "Oh, well. It's an old family heirloom." The man drawled importantly as they danced, his hand dropping lower as they turned, his grip more hungry than gentle.
Yoshi Raven: Don´t murder him. Don´t murder him. Do. Not. Murder. Him.
Arthur kept thinking this but it was very difficult to follow his own rule the more his hands... wandered.
"Interesting... how many generations?"
If he was distracting him, maybe he could take it without him noticing..
Charlie McCarthey: "Oh, countless." Is the distracted response, because the man's too focused on Arthur's ass in that dress to focus on anything else, really.
"Here, why don't we... get a little space from this crowd, hmm?"
Yoshi Raven: "... yeah, why not..." Still smiling, he let the man guide Arthur out of there and as soon as he had his back turned to him, the smile turned into a disgusted expression, followed by anger. He really wanted someone or something would get that stupid artifact soon...!
Charlie McCarthey: They made it maybe ten steps down the hall before the grip changed, to something restricting and almost painful. Arthur's wrist was grinded together as he was hauled around in front and against the wall. His boss leaned over him, one hand on the wall and the other...
The necklace came flashing out in his other hand, the man's determined, hungry gaze as he held up the amulet and activated it. It swung on its chain, glowing a sickly green.
Immediately, the bond reacted aggresively, slicing through Arthur's mind and fending off the spell.
Yoshi Raven: He had sensed the tug on his mind before the bond protected him, and this time, it didn´t cause a headache. Probably because Lewis was closer to him than the last time. He could pretend he was under the spell but he didn´t know what happened when it worked, so he´d go for another plan.
"Uhm... sorry, but is that some kind of magic trick you wanna use to impress me...?" he asked, acting as if he had no clue about this.
Charlie McCarthey: "Grhn..." The cool and calm demenaor was slipping by the second, whether driven to insanity by his own desires or the amulet, it didn't matter. "Shut up." He snapped at Arthur, clenching the gem and shaking it as if that would make the spell work. It flashed briefly but just got a little smokey.
"Why isn't this working?" He demanded a little desperatly, pulling back from Arthur, caught up in his own worry.
Yoshi Raven: "Well, I don´t know, it´s your amulet. Anyway, I´ll return to the guests. Can´t neglect them now..."
Arthur turned and slowly walked back to the door. He was grinning a bit. Having a bond with a ghost was awesome.
Charlie McCarthey: This time the grip was on his fake shoulder, the hand ripping it harshly as he yanked Arthur back into place, angrier than before.
"You're not getting away a second time--there's others way to get what we need," His metal hand was grabbed, and a knife dragged across the skin--which tore suddenly, revealing the metal that glinted in the poor lighting.
"What--!?" That's all the boss managed, because the next think he knew something pink and orange darted out from the wall beside Arthur, tiny teeth glinting as the little deadbeat bite down hard on the hand pinning Arthur in place until he let go of Arthur.
Gear spotted the amulet a second later and snatched it happily, darting up toward the ceiling as Lewis and the others burst through the door.
"Arthur! We--A-Artie?!"
"Lew, isn't that one of your--??"
"Uh, yeah?"
Yoshi Raven: When the fake skin was cut and his metal arm revealed, he just grinned at the guy and pushed him off himself, resulting in him falling down on the floor.
"Good boy, Gear, now stay up there and protect the amulet!" he called to the little Deadbeat.
"Vivi, Lewis, I´m fine. But that bastard here needs a trip to nightmare town." Arthur leaned down a bit, glaring at him.
"Never touch a human a ghost loves" he growled quietly at him. "Lew, he´s yours to mess with... and I should tell you he had his hands on my ass and tried cutting me..."
Charlie McCarthey: "Ohh boy." That was Vivi, taking a step back as Lewis turned from Arthur slowly. In one single step he'd already grown several feet, the heart pumping harshley as the Ifrit monster grew out of Lewis, horns jutting and curling, claws unseathing and hooking as Lewis stomped over, slitted eyes boring into the now terrified man.
"A g-ghost--but the runes--you, you destroyed them!?" He was grabbed with a single hand, Lewis lifting him up to open his mouth, showing the swirling fire as he growled lowly at the human.
Gear bopped around the ceiling happily singing some high pitched notes, watching the light catch 'the shiny' as he played with it.
"...nice dress Artie. Lew's right, you do have the legs for it." Vivi giggled as she trotted over. "What's wrong with that deadbeat? He's... kinda orange?"
Yoshi Raven: "Oh of course I destroyed the runes. The were hidden at a very obvious pla - Vivi! " He squaked the last bit, then coughed to get his voice back.
"Uhm... well. That Deadbeat - I call him Gear - is kinda attached to me... and Lewis. A result of our connection. He´s acting like a cute kitten and loves when I pet him. Wait, I show you... Gear! Come down to me!" Arthur called.
Charlie McCarthey: The deadbeat jerked at his voice and streaked down to Arthur quickly, tail lashing about eagerly as it showed him the shiny still clenched in its little epointed jaws.
"Gear-- oh my god Artie that's so fucking CUTE. You're adorable. Isn't he adorable Lew?!" She asked fearlessly as Lewis dropped the shell-shocked body carelessly and slid over. The man was alive but in shock, having felt the heat of the Ifrit's fire and thinking he was going to be roasted. Lewis grunted, glowing eyes on Arthur as he lowered his great horned head.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur gently petted Gear´s head. "Well done, little guy. Vivi, break the spell please. I have done enough for this mission." He walked to Lewis, also petting his head and placed a kiss on one horn. "You too, Lewis. Well done. Love you so much, my dear." he purred.
Charlie McCarthey: Vivi grabbed the amulet, pulling out a glass of ice water she'd grabbed from one of the tables. "Let's see if this works..." she grinned darkly and plunged the necklace into the water. There was a sizzle, and hissing and fizzing noise as 9 beams of light shot from the medallian and vanished into the ballroom.
"Done! So much for your reign of terror, dickhead." Vivi smirked.
Lewis pushed into Arthur's palm, purring gently as he began shrinking down to his skeleton form.
Yoshi Raven: "Don´t forget to smash the thing, I don´t want to see it ever again."
He´d like to punch the guy for touching him, but he had enough with the sight of Lewis´ Ifrit side.
He waited until he was on his usual size again, then hugged him. "You´re awesome, cotton candy ~ "
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis grinned a little at the compliment, hauling Arthur in for a relieved and tight hug.
"I try my best." He hummed, watching Vivi put the amulet under her heel and shatter it into several chunks.
"Ready to go? Leave that asshole for his 'staff' find him. I doubt that they'll have anything good to say now that their memories are restored."
Yoshi Raven: "Hell yes I wanna leave and get out of that dress. The artifact is gone and I think that guy won´t mess with ghosts ever again.."
Arthur glared at him a last time, then got his clothes back and changed into them, happy to have jeans and shirt and vest back.
"Better. Much better." They left the mansion while the other "maids" were chasing their ex-boss around, angry voices calling him names.
Even if you´re strong, sometimes you need help too.

Original
The gang is in the ghost world and since humans can´t really survive there, their souls fuse with the body so they become “ghosts” as long as they´re in this world. That´s why Arthur and Vivi are glowing. Mystery is a supernatural creature, he can just enter as usual.
The cult is gone and Lewis has to learn that the living can get hurt. Luckily, wounds heal. But some wounds will stay longer - and do more damage.

Yoshi Raven: Arthur was grinning slightly. He had warned them and now they´d get what they deserved. Scare and giving them scratches and slight burns, then calling the police and put them in jail for a loong time. Now he could get the chains off.
"Locket, please destroy the chains" he said to the heart.
When Lewis was attacking, he noticed something was wrong with him..
Charlie McCarthey: The locket sizzled in his grip, sending out strings that cut through the iron, melting it clean off even as it tingled Arthur's skin.
The siren was the obvious first target, since it had the most power. Lewis made quick work of it, sending it back to where ever spirits dewelled, but then Lewis got the cult leader under his giant hand. And the script... changed.
He swung his head down, one eye staring out from the skull as it sized him up. When the cult leader tried to get loose, Lewis laughed darkly at it, picking him up and dropping him again.
The other braver members tried to rescue their leader, but attacks bounced off his thick hide and he turned his attention to them. In a split second fire descended down, the smell of scorching flesh replacing the screams as two of members were burned alive.
With a careless grunt, Lewis went back to the leader, flicking him casually against a wall like a cat playing with an already dead mouse.
Yoshi Raven: Horror was written all over Arthur´s face.
Lewis was actually killing them, and not in a quick way. No, he could feel he was actually enjoying torturing them and it made him feel awful. Yes, they had done bad things but revenge was no solution.
"No! Stop it! Lewis!" he yelled, pulling at the last chain until it broke and fell down from his arm.
He stumbled but got up quickly, ignoring the stinging of the wounds and ran over to the Ifrit.
"Don´t kill them! Stop it Lewis! Don´t do it ...!"
Charlie McCarthey: Arthur came up to about his hip, and the Ifrit whirled angrily when he felt a motion down there, livid eyes boring down. But-oh. His expression immediately changed to concern and affection. Lewis bent down best he could steadying himself on one hand as he leaned over his other half and manged a rough warble that sounded a bit like Arthur's name. His free hand came around the human body, easily the same size as it, tender and light as Lewis studied him worriedly.
There was movement behind him though, and in a glance Lewis had stiffened his broad shoulders, twisting behind him as if he intended to go back to his job of ridding the world of this pesky rats.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur looked up at him. "Lewis... stop killing them! This... this is not you! You wouldn´t kill a human, even if they hurt me! It´s wrong!" he said, voice desperate to stop him from doing more damage. When Lewis didn´t seem to react, he got a bit angry and slammed his hands on Lewis´ skin, trying to get his attention by screaming at him.
"Lewis don´t you dare to ignore me now...!"
Charlie McCarthey: It was like the world held their breath. Or at least, the survivors in the cavern did, all staring wide eyed at the kid who just smacked the demon that had just murdered three of their own.
... Lewis swung around, his shovel-like hand scooping him up and bringing him to his level. The Ifrit grumbled, huffing and--and pouting almost as he gazed at the mechanic woefully.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur just glared at him and he looked very angry.
"No more killing, Lew. This was enough for today. Put me down and then both of us leave here. Got it?!" he growled.
"I have you back, that´s the only important thing. The rest of the cult will end up in jail."
Charlie McCarthey: The massive Ifrit grumbled, lowering his hand a bit as he turned toward the steps that would take them to the exit. But as he did so, a powerful ice spell slammed into his shoulderblade and exploded, making Lewis roar out in pain as he stumbled. His chest and shoulder, the side Arthur was on, smashed heavily into the wall and Lewis slid down, dropping Arthur a soild meter. He didn't notice that though, just turned and pushed himself up, dizzy and low on power as he spent the last of his energy on burning the cult members.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur had tried to hang on to Lewis but he had lost his balance due to the sudden smash into the wall.
He fell down, and when his head hit the floor, the world turned black immediately. A trickle of blood was moving slowly from his head, forming a small puddle and staining his hair from blond to red.
Charlie McCarthey: Something felt jarring in Lewis' skull too, and he melted down into his skeleton form, shaking his head.
Fucking... ow. Ow. He grumbled, lowering his hand when the world stopped spinning.
Arthur, I--Arthur!? Shit! He pushed his tired body to his sweetheart's side, hauling him worriedly into his arms and against his chest.
Hey, buddy. Buddy wake up--it's okay, theyre gone now they won't hurt you... He swiped the blood away with his thumb gently, holding Arthur protectively to his chest.
Yoshi Raven: There was no reaction at all, just very weak breathing and more blood dripping down. It already had tinted half of his hair a dark red.
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis fretted, feeling his worry grow as he gathered Arthur up and pulled him from the cave, hoping the cool fresh air would do him some good.
...how had he gotten in the woods? Jeez, this whole thing was a mess.
Ignoring that, Lewis rested Arthur against a tree carefully.
Yoshi Raven: It didn´t change his condition, even after 10 minutes, Arthur was still unconscious but at least, the bleeding had stopped.
Luckily, Vivi and Mystery had returned, worried about the two and when they spotted Lewis with a familiar mechanic close, Vivi ran over to him.
"Lewis... are you.. back?" she asked, then turned her head to Arthur and saw the blood.
"Oh my god... what happened?! Arthur! Wake up!" Vivi kneeled down next to him, gently touching his cheek.
Charlie McCarthey: Vivi noticed the head wound a split second later, and Lewis was aware of her hand coming and smacking him.
I--wha--h-hey! I saved him!
"You saved him alright--and he's injured Lewis--bad! You're not supposed to move someone with a head wound!" Vivi growled. "We need to get him a hospital, right now."
"A hos... pital? Oh--oh, right! Right I knew that!"
But Lewis' trouble expression said that no, he most certainly did not for a split second.
Yoshi Raven: They didn´t waste more time and put Arthur on the backseat of the van, Mystery securing him with his body and they all drove to the nearest hospital.
The doctor was the same who had cared for Arthur when he had lost the arm so Vivi knew her friend would get a good treatment. Still, they all had to wait outside while they made an MRT of Arthur´s head to eliminate the possibility of internal bleedings or turgors that would cut off the brains supply. They also treated his wounds and bandaged his chest.
An hour later, the doctor walked over to Vivi. "You can see him now. But be quiet, he´s sleeping. We gave him a sleep-inducing drug and a strong painkiller. He needs a lot of rest now." The doctor guided them to Arthur´s room.
Charlie McCarthey: Lewis followed Vivi miserably, even behind Mystery who was allowed in. He didn't bother pushing on the bond, just cast Arthur a regretful glance and floated behind Vivi as she took a chair next to the mechanic.
Vivi... I didn't mean...
"I know Lew. Or, I know that now. You can't help it, you're a ghost. There's bound to be some things you'll forget that you don't need. Just... just be careful. Arthur still is alive. I can't lose him too."
What could Lewis say to that? He fell quiet, heart thudding a painful yellow-orange, looking washed out.
Yoshi Raven: Arthur was sleeping for almost 9 hours and he didn´t move once. Compared to his usual sleep, which was full of turns to his back, sides and stomach, this was bad. He almost looked dead, the white of the cushion and blanket not making it better, he looked pale.
It was around 10.30 am when the doctor entered the room and walked to Arthur´s side, checking on him.
"Did he wake up when I wasn´t here?" he asked Vivi.
Charlie McCarthey: "No, not once." Vivi murmured, one hand clutching Mystery's thick neck fur as she watches him check Arthur's vitals. Lewis isn't even half visible, he'd flickered to invisibility a while ago and had refused to come back. Vivi wasn't too worried, she was confident he'd come back the second Artie woke up.
Yoshi Raven: "Hm... alright. The sleep drug shouldn´t be effective anymore so he should wake up soon. There is one thing you have to consider." He turned to Vivi, looking at her with a serious face. "He is still under the influence of the painkiller. It´s not the stronest we have, but it might cause confusion when he wakes up or he might act drunken. It´s normal, so don´t worry. So, try not to upset him."
Charlie McCarthey: "Got it." Vivi nodded, knowing Lewis was listening despite not being visible.
"We'll be careful, promise." She couldn't help it, she took his remaining hand, fingers slipping around his pale ones and knawing on her lip.
Yoshi Raven: "Good. Call me when he wakes up." The doctor left.
Two hours later, Arthur started moving slightly and groaned quietly. He slowly opened his eyes, his look a little dazed and his mind felt... clouded.
As if something was missing.
The first thing he noticed was the brightness of the room, then that he was lying in a bed with a white sheet and that there was something around his chest.
Charlie McCarthey: "...Artie?" Vivi asked slowly, gently removing her hand in case that startled him. She knew he didn't like only having one, but they had to remove the prosthetic. It was looking a little beat up anyway.
Mystery rested his chin on the bed too, woofing quietly, all eyes on Arthur.
Yoshi Raven: He needed a few minutes until he could see sharp again, then looked at Vivi and Mystery.
But something was wrong with the way Arthur looked at them. He looked confused and a bit scared.
His voice was weak when he finally talked.
"... who... are you?"
