"You. Ghoul."

She knew who he was the second she saw him. The hum of magic was always surrounding her these days, her powers of knowing constantly going. "Your job is to track down disobedient ghouls and...take care of them, is it not?"

(A redundant question. She knows the answer already.)

Beauty stares in his direction, cursed eye glowing with the use of her powers. "I have a list of those that need disposed of." Ever since she took over the throne, revealed herself and struck down that excuse of a Papa, there were those who wished to see her dead, to take the power for themselves. Those that saw her as weak. And they needed to be dealt with.

"No," Quin says with a bright little smile, grabbing Ifrit's hands and tugging him close. It's some party thrown by the ministry, a celebration of a holiday that Quin wasn't quite familiar with yet. "I'll always welcome kisses, especially from you."

" you should really post some guards outside, considering all the trouble you get into. "

iii waves a hand, lounging on the apartment couch. "Vess has this really fuckin' intricate, like, alarm system shit set up. Anyone gets in and he takes care of 'em. No guards necessary."

Quin looks up, looking over at Ifrit. He had been noodling around on his guitar while she sat with a plant between her knees, trying to heal it. "No, you're fine," she says, shaking her head. "It kinda... it kinda helps, honestly. Keeps me calm and focused."

" what happened to you ? "

Quin huffs and pouts, pulling the blanket further over her shoulders, trying to hide the bruises and slices on her skin. Her shoulders hunch a little and her ears are lowered in shame. "I wanted to see if I could help out on a hunt," she mumbles, frowning at her knees. "Turns out I'm not good enough for it."

" what happened to you ? "

Beauty sighs, gently rubbing the bandages wrapped around her torso absently. "A summoning I was a participant in went wrong," she admits. "The attempt was to summon a fire ghoul like yourself, but a sigil was drawn incorrectly, and we brought forth a more powerful fire demon than we were expecting, and, well," she shrugs, gesturing to herself. "Some of us were luckier than others."

"It already hurts," Quin sniffles, rubbing her eyes with her uninjured hand. Her other shoulder popped out of its socket while she and Ifrit were sparring, and she had to stop.

A full body spasm wracks iii's body as Sleep speaks in his head, a rare occurrence. He stares at the being before him, something pretending to be human but not, quite like him.

"Oh, she likes you," iii grins under his mask, bouncing on his feet a little as he leans foreword. He's not sure where Vessel, ii, and iv went, each of them having been given tasks from Sleep during this party. He's not even sure how they got in or what it's for, but he's not going to question Her.
