The Black Sea Fleet in the Bay of Feodosia (just before the Crimean War of 1890), completion 1890, Oil on Canvas. Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky Ottoman control ceased when the expanding Russian Empire conquered the whole of Crimea in 1783.
