i drew this mid 2024 for an art comp on cait's owon discord, and was/am insanely proud of it, but the rendering was a rush-job to meet the deadline, and i thought it deserved something proper before i posted it anywhere. but! its been a year and a half since then and i never had time to return to it, and it shouldnt just rot in my files any longer, so here :)

hopefully i will finish it fully one day, but for now, i hope you guys enjoy this ^.^ <3 ! i have a huge backlog of our wonderland art that hasnt been posted here. i made an instagram dedicated to spam-posting it all, but then i deleted instagram, so, oops. idk where ill put it all

PS this drawing is a bit of a love letter to comics & local ecosystem, so shout out to that. every environmental element here is a specific local species (hopefully accurately placed), including one im named after, the plebidonax deltoides. i know theyre american, but i realised in my intention of wanting to draw a homely beach environment, i was sick of US-centrism again, so this is indulgently my home. so theyre just here for a moment, i guess
