One of my favorite things to remember is how I chose Annie's name in the first place. Or, in universe, how she chose her own name.

Something I'm not sure if I've mentioned before.

But it'd be interesting to hear how some of your Sidesteps chose their names!

I've always found Fallout to be a hopeful story. Being reborn is something inevitable and beautiful. It's not only a story about the horrors of war, but about the strength we have in our love for one another- when it's at its best, anyway.

@just-a-tiny-goldfish has been planting seal Annie ideas into my brain, and so I wanted to draw a quick silly like Selkie AU seal Annie.

Bonus: She found a hat. I wonder who it belongs to?

I've always pictured the Catastrofiend as looking like some messed up Praying-Mantis / human hybrid looking thing. All twitchy and constantly moving in some way. I liked to think it would kind of sway to try lull its prey. Maybe use its telepathic abilities to keep them hypnotized by the movement. I just think its cool

If Annie had a Ric instead:

Pre-Heartbreak

There would be no romance

She'd be a lot less open originally

She wouldn't have hung around the Rangers as much, and when she did she would tend to gravitate towards Anathema more

She would have a lot more sarcastic banter with Ric

She would have jokingly flipped him off a lot

Loosing Anathema would have hit Annie a lot harder

Post-Heartbreak

Still no romance

She definitely would have punched Ric in the diner

She would be a little less open with a Ric, a but of a harsher tone to her words

Would not interact with the Rangers as much, at all. She would only go to make her presence known

Any banter would have a meaner edge to it, though thinly veiled with sarcasm still

She wouldn't feel as bad during the Gala fight, though would still go see Ric in the hospital. To call him a 'stubborn ass' and a 'stupid old man'.

She would for sure tell him to shave the mustache, only because "It looks like something crawled onto your face and died."

She would however drop her façade a little more around a Ric, as she has less of a reason to bother keeping it up

She would still choose to go to the Ranch after the accident

I feel like overall she would be more a bit more bitter, mean and angry with a Ric instead of a Julia. Love softens her.
