Realized I never uploaded these Moon-Scarred roughs from the August GameJam. The motive and 'ending' was cut as I didn't have time.
The TWEEST is that Moon-Scarred herself is a werewolf and she's fighting for her kid so that the Day can exist. The *most* subtle fighting for a future.
Kiddo is responsible for the Sun, a phoenix. MS is responsible for disciplining the Moon for "breaking curfew".
Only the Sun or Moon can have dominion at a time, and this mutual exclusivity also applies to Kiddo/MS respectively.
However I wanted the 'ending' to have their loophole interaction they can share during dawn.
I say 'ending' as the gameplay loop ties into the 'story'. At some point kiddo does want to see MS, not her unwaking corpse. The Moon will rise and refuse to peacefully set, the dead shall walk again and the selfish cycle continues.
