Not so fun fact: Ignatz cries when he’s terrified about something. He doesn’t flee. He doesn’t fight. He cries. Not because he is not capable, no, but rather because it’s his body’s first reaction to true fear.

💠 How many pairs of glasses does Ignatz have?
💠 Is there a Headcanon about my muse you want to know more about? Ask away!
“Now that I think about it, I don’t believe I’ve ever counted them! The ones I have on at the moment weren’t mine at first. My father was…is a merchant, y-you see, and so, in order to save money, he gave me his old pair of glasses. The lenses have been changed and so on. These, I have yet to break them, which I wouldn’t be looking forward to, but I also have spares as one couldn’t be too careful. Especially in dangerous times. Rigorous training or one wrong movement in battle and I could break them in no time!
I have… hmm… two in my desk’s left top drawer, one by the head of my bed at the academy… one in my satchel, which I carry on me at all times… and the ones I wear right now! That would make five! Five pairs of glasses. Huh. I never really thought about how cautious I am until now. Makes you think…”
I just realized that my Ignatz wouldn’t attack old classmates. Even in the middle of a war, he’d most likely prefer to not defend himself against old friends, no matter the house, rather than maim those he once trusted and still trusts.
In fact, he’d probably cry for help instead to either deter them or attempt to reason with them.

Ignatz is actually immune to fire, whether its in magic form or not. It doesn’t burn him nor does it maim him in any way or fashion. Other spells, however, do. Any spells that are thunder based are actually more efficient on him. Due to his heritage, he does have a certain resistance to wind magic.

While it is stated in canon that Ignatz has a strong fear of Thunder, he actually enjoys rain. He finds it to be peaceful and relaxing (when thunder and lightning aren’t in the decor). It’s not rare to see Ignatz outside when it’s raining or painting the scenery from the warmth and comfort of his room.

There are colors that Ignatz see better than others. For example, any shade of red will appear much more vibrant to him, which is why he is also naturally drawn to it. Characters with bright, red hair are more likely to have Ignatz near them as it is a color that makes him comfortable. Since this color has such a strong importance to him, it can also be used to distract him due to his keen sense of observation.
Unfortunately for some muses like Sylvain, Ferdinand, Leonie, Annette, Hapi and Hilda, he will grow easily attached to them because of this.
what's ignatz idea of an ideal knight...
Ask my muse questions about anything you want to know about them! [Always Accepting!]
“We could ask much from someone who is meant to be a knight. Strength. Intelligence. Elegance. Title. I’ve learnt that title was somewhat important, but of no importance. I’ve seen cowardice and negligence in nobles... and I’ve seen inexperience in commoners. There is no right, but there is a wrong. Each soldier is different. We all fight for a cause that unites us for what we believe is just. To me, a knight is not merely muscles nor the intelligence of a strategist.
An ideal knight has Heart and dreams, something to hold onto and keeps the morale of their fellow knights high. To remember them what it means to be together and support one another. This is where lies the true strength of a knight. If one’s heart is in the right place; if one’s hopes and dreams are maintained, then nothing can stop them. This is where true hardship resides. With time, they might falter, but a knight that is capable of holding onto what they believe in, for the well being of all, not for their own personal gain, is a knight that I could follow anywhere and a knight I would willingly give my life for.
M-Maybe this is an idyllic way of seeing the harsh reality of war, but it’s what I believe in.”
