Imagine Nicolò being so absolutely in love with Yusuf but so certain that Yusuf would never return his affections, and that going on for months and months. Until one day they’re sitting next to each other by the camp fire and Yusuf says something and Nicolò snorts when he laughs, and Yusuf just looks at him with such love and fondness in his eyes, he — wait, no, that can’t be right, can it?! And Nicolò gets so nervous, his heart starts beating faster and faster as Yusuf leans closer and closer and now Nicolò’s CERTAIN that Yusuf is going to kiss him but he’s freaking out so hard about it and his heart is beating so damn fast that he literally has a heart attack.

Thank you for all your Trust posts! You can probably tell I’ve been going through them from your mentions, but I just finished the show earlier this week, and I AM DYING TO READ AND TALK ABOUT IT!!! So everything you’ve written has been some damn good food for me.
I really just decided to watch it because of Luca, and had no idea what it was about before I started it. I didn’t expect his role to be so big, and I definitely didn’t expect to care about Primo the most, and what a pleasant surprise that was. What a fascinating character, and the show has so many layers to it.
What I think I liked best, though, was how everything they did had a payoff by the end of the show. Everything. And those are the kind of shows that I ADORE because they are so incredibly rewarding to watch and experience.
Anyway, thank you again for all your Trust posts! I’m sure I’ll be working my way through them more this weekend as I watch the show again. I need to see it a second time knowing what the ending is and catch all the details I may have missed the first time.
And because the whole show really took one look at Luca and was like “yeah, you are the most beautiful and we are going to do everything in our power to show that in every scene you’re in,” and honestly, I have to respect that. And appreciate it.
Ha, you are me from like, a month and a half ago, when I first watched the show and was like OMG MUST DISCUSS. I too got here via the Old Guard/Luca Marinelli obsession VIP entrance (oh...the guy who played heart-overflows-with-kindness Nicky plays a bad guy in this one? oh nooooo) and had no idea what I was getting into in terms of characters that latch on to your psyche and won’t let go.
And yeah, the show is incredible with setup and payoff. They pay off every. single. thing. they set up. Every detail and subplot is there for a reason. (You can really tell that, because it was a fairly high-budget limited series, they had the luxury of writing all the episodes in advance of filming and being able to make sure all the plotlines were tight.) That’s so rare, and watching the first time through it’s hard to trust (ha) that the show will remember to pull the trigger on every single Chekov’s gun in the armory. But they do and it’s incredibly satisfying. And it’s definitely a show that rewards multiple viewings, because there are so many details to notice once you know how everything plays out.
And yes I will forever appreciate that apparently all of camera, wardrobe, hair & makeup was as thirsty for Luca as we all are.
Hi @ignisentis! While I do adore receiving comments in my fics, isn’t tumblr a little bit more confortable to share headcanons? I reply to you here.
Yessss, I think Primo is SO ANNOYED with himself that he’s into Leonardo, like of all the people!! And he’s tried so hard over the years to get over him, to move on, but his heart is just stubbornly stuck on this MARRIED man who was kind to him a bit growing up, how pathetic can he be?! Is what he tells himself, and then...then he’ll think of how Leonardo *was* kind to him, how he pushes back when everyone else is afraid to anymore, how Leo’s never actually scared or disappointed to see him.
But the biggest thing for Primo, I think, is that he can see Leo’s potential under the surface. He knows Leo did the numbers for Salvatore, but he also can see that Leo is cleverer than Salvatore let him be, and I think that fascinates Primo. He *likes* this challenge, it keeps drawing him in, he wants to see just what Leonardo can do and how he can get him there.
But the problem with that is Primo forgets just how observant Leo is, and how this plan and spending so much time with Leo means that Primo himself is going to be seen.
Ah, yes. I do love, love, love any couple dynamic in which they make the other thrive in their best, and in this case I like so much the idea that Leo can see Primo’s potential and realizes that the best way to make it grow is not being dismissive like Salvatore, but also that Primo can see Leo’s potential and just doesn’t. Let him back down from the challenge.
It makes their story seem inevitable, if you think about them that way, that even if they tried to talk themselves out of it (Which they probably did, with Primo trying to tell himself that is so pathetic to be into someone like Leonardo, for that long, and meanwhile Leonardo questioning every single of the life choices that has made him be pretty much into Primo, of all people, who’s also his boss), they were going to end up together sooner or later.
But the problem with that is Primo forgets just how observant Leo is, and how this plan and spending so much time with Leo means that Primo himself is going to be seen.
And oh, oh. Primo giving himself away in front of Leo because Primo just won’t stay away, but also he’s not as good as hiding how whipped he is with Leo as he’d like to think is something that I find entertaining as hell.

“Hi. Have you lost anything today?” the man asks.
Steve screams.
The man screams back.
Steve picks up a rock and throws it at the guy, hitting him in the forehead. “Ow, the fuck!” the man shouts. Steve bends down to get another rock to throw, but the man is gone again by the time he straightens up.
Steve sighs. He’s never going to hear the end of this from Sam.

Work Description:
This item is a knitted cowl with a Marvel fabric lining. Please see attached photos for: 1) your fabric choices for the lining. The one on the left is a bit more teal than the photo shows, but it’s a flannel and very soft. The gray one on the right is a cotton calico and not quite as soft. 2) An example of a fabric-lined cowl I have already made. As you can see, it’s a nicely sized piece, and is very warm and cozy. Your item will be a similar size.
The bid cost includes the price of yarn, the price of the fabric, my knitting time, and up to $15 for shipping. If you are international and the shipping is more than $15, I may ask for additional compensation depending on your winning bid price.
I will work with the winning bidder to assure you love the yarn and the design of the cowl. The design process can begin as soon as bids are finalized, but I won’t be able to begin knitting this cowl until December at the earliest.
