On multiple occasions, Eliwood had softly chided him on how strict he was when it came to Lilina. Hector couldn’t help it. If he considered, even for a moment, of some wastrel stealing his daughter’s heart and then breaking it, his paranoia set in. He knew he wasn’t behaving fully rationally, fueled by this paranoia as he was.
“I get that you won’t be happy as an unwed woman. I do! But I came here and found out that I have a daughter, and all I want to do is protect you! If you got hurt, especially by heartbreak, I don’t know what I’d do ...”
