It’s been longer than two decades since the tactician’s set foot on Elibe. He clutches his trademark green robes on him, not quite the same as the one he had worn when he had been just a teen traveling with three Lycian lords but it still gave off a similar air. He supposes the same can be said about the continent he had abandoned without much of a word than what he afforded to Eliwood and Hector.
...He still never quite said anything to Lyn about his departure, did he?
Last he heard, Caelin had merged with Ostia and so that would be the first logical place to go to if he wished to show some respect for the person who likely believed in him most. His head is a storm, uncertain whether he wanted to apologize or act as if nothing had happened.
Perhaps it’s foolish, but he approaches the front gates of Castle Ostia. He takes off his hood, requesting, “ I would like to see Hector. You can tell him it’s Mark. ”
The soldier gives him a strange look, and he reads it first as bemusement but then as pity— whatever reason this guard might have to flash him this look, he disregards it as he tries again with a different approach.
“ ...If Hector isn’t here right now, there should be a girl named Lilina. She might know who I am. ”
