The american soul-jazz-blues singer Nina Simone was born today in North-Carolina 85 years ago! She was a legend already in her time making a deep impact on her audience. She died of breast cancer in 2003 in France. During her career she recorded over 60 albums and wrote over 500 songs including Ain’t got no life / Got life which Mel covered in 2012 on her Stages album. Check out the live performance!
