T R U E G I F T I N G . One of the most refreshing experiences I’ve found on this long adventure across the world is the random, unconditional acts of kindness I receive from complete strangers. Nothing refreshes my hope for humanity and our existence on this planet more than this. . This is Guy, a 25 year old Israeli from Modiin, who was serving me food at this small shop in Tel Aviv. They only serve on item here, Sabich. It’s an eggplant, egg, and mashed potato sandwich served with multiple delicious sauces and pickles inside middle eastern style bread, or what my Grammy called Lebanese bread. Sabich is an Iraqi food, and this is one of the cheapest meals I’ve found in Tel Aviv at 16 shekels, roughly $5. . Around 9:30pm tonight I was playing my Handpan on the streets outside the shop he worked at. 30 minutes into it, Guy, this same smile across his face, walked out and handed me free food and a drink. He also gave me a small joint to finish as well, and I accepted graciously although at the moment am not even smoking. It was a completely unwarranted gesture, as I was not asking for anything, yet he gifted anyways. . I spoke to him briefly about his life. He hadn’t been working here long as he had just come back from his 3rd trip to India, where he has spent almost a year in total travel time. He’s seen most part of India it seemed and loved the Parvati Valley most. I asked him point blank what his dream in life was and he had a short, sweet response. . “I dream to live a good life.” . Let’s hope his dream comes true. Thanks, Guy. . . . . . . . . #goodpeople #humansoftelaviv #randomactsofkindness #goodvibes #israel #telaviv #igisrael #igtelaviv #iger #travel #travelphotography #travelling #lifeabroad #lifeontheroad #wanderlust #portraitphotography #streetportrait #portrait #vsco #vscocam #vscobest #bestofthebest (at Florentin, Tel Aviv)
