Everytime I go to my cellar this 2008 super Tuscan #Lodai. (Meaning high praise)in Italian winks at me and says pick me ! pick me! Today I opened this 2008 #cabernetsauvignon IGT curious about this #maremma wine. I know the winemaker and the team. It didn't let me down. Beautiful deep Ruby colour . Rich, nuanced, earthy blackberry - black fruit, forest-floor and a little balsamic and even treacle. The tanins have softened so beautifully and the terrior #Gavoranno on which this wine was grown, speaks loudly of southern Tuscany !!! I opened it today because I was making Bruschetta and Tuscan foods.
