Some fun facts:

1) His weapon is a grappling hook 2) Both him and canon Karkat are oppressed due to their mutation. But Karkat's sorrows made him empathetic and taught him to sympathise with others. Eridan, however, became bitter and self-centered, focused solely on his own survival and on locking everyone out. He's completely sure, that his life is fucked up from birth and that it won't ever change. 3) He's stubborn as a mule. If he's convinced that you want to poison him, he'd rather starve or die from thirst, rather than take ANYTHING out of your hands, no matter how much you try to change his mind 4) He DESPERATELY needs glasses, but he can't afford those.
