As We Grow Up
This is not your fault. Not theirs. Not mine. This is not anyone’s fault. This is life.
You see…as we grow up, we experience things that we thought we would have never experienced. Things might get rough at times, but we somehow can manage to handle it in the end. As we grow up, we finally realize all the sad truths, the black truths, the dark truths. We finally understand why certain things happened, and why certain things didn’t. As we grow up, people would start to treat us differently. They no longer see us as who we really are for certain attributes always follow us and make them realize that we have changed.
As I grow up, I learn certain things. One of them is that in the end, slowly but surely, you will become everything that you swore you would never be. Ironic, isn’t it? But again, that is one sad truth we will realize as we grow up.
