So I had a moment of being a fiscal Republican

A 19 year old guy told me that he plays guitar and video games all day long because he gets enough money from his SSI for having depression that he doesn’t need a job. He also has no intention of getting one until he needs to. He’s not getting any kind of medical or therapeutic treatment for “depression” and I would think that if it were really a problem, he’d be doing something to help himself. After completing 8 years of extra school, loans, debts, and living frugally to be able to support myself responsibly, a portion of the money I make as a vet will go to people who sit around all day taking advantage of the benefits that truly disadvantaged people need.
