Kuroko no Basuke: Last Game (movie review)
Went to watch Knb: Last Game today since it is Spring break in Japan!
Let me tell you something, all you Kagakuro shippers.
The movie has officially broken up Kagami and Kuroko as a couple. Kagami cried when he had to leave Kuroko at the airport. Kagami literally broke off the Immigration queue to find Kuroko after having a flashback of (how much he loves) Kuroko. He ran over and confessed to him that he couldn’t have made it this far without his shadow. And that he changed his mind, he wants to stay with Kuroko. Kuroko then started crying at this confession. But Kuroko told his (ex)boyfriend to go chase his dream as an NBA player. And that Kuroko will be Kagami’s shadow - forever. It was super sad to watch the two break up (figuratively) on-screen.
I AM HEARTBROKEN AND CRIED IN THE THEATRE. THEIR LOVE SHALL PREVAIL.
But the movie was good! Seeing the Vorpal Swords team fight and try their very best, good animation by Production I.G (just maybe a few frames of lazy/sloppy drawing). The match was a little long tbh, but seeing Kise, Aomine and Kagami go into the zone is worth it. I personally still prefer the ending in the manga though... the movie ending is too heart-breaking.
Bonus: Stay till the end of the credits. There is an extra 5-minute scene at the end. Someone might be joining Kagami in America :)
If anyone has any questions about the movie or the shitty ending, feel free to ask me about it!
