I have decided...

Thoughts have been racing lately. I cannot even remember the last time I sat down to simply write and rant. I need a hobby, a passion. Being a mother has consumed my time and energy so much that I have forgotten of my interests and desires. I miss ME. I miss enjoying the small simple things… but I have also grown a new love, of being a mother and being so in love and obsessed with my child. 

But I have decided that since I am going on 9 months post-partum, that I want to find myself again. To find my interests and let my talents shine. I have decided that I want to lead a positive, healthy lifestyle. I want my son to grow up seeing his mother doing what she loves to do. I crave art. I crave to create, to work with my hands, to dig deep within my soul and let my inner secrets surface through a personal creation…art. I have decided to listen to podcasts that will inspire me to be someone great, the best version of myself. I have decided that I am the creator of my life. I am finally free from this ppdepression, and I have decided that I am going to take over my life and run it. I have decided that the title “mom” is just a part of who I am, and I am determined to let the other parts of me shine through for all to see. 

I have decided that today is the day and the time is NOW to begin to take hold of my life. I have decided that it is time to be happy, and to set intentions and goals. I have decided that I am no longer going to let fear run my life- fear with financial stress and the future. I have decided that I am going to speak kindly of myself to myself. I have decided that I am going to put my whole heart and trust the Universe, and that I am going to enjoy every moment of my life starting TODAY. 

I have decided that positive affirmations are key to living a happy and successful life. I believe that I can do whatever I set my mind to. I believe the Universe will give me what I aspire. I aspire to be happy, and to live a comfortable life while expressing my talents and being the best mom I can be. 

I have decided that I am going to be kind, and that I am going to teach my child(ren) that kindness is the foundation to living a happy and successful life. I want my son to be a beacon of light, spreading kindness wherever he goes, and I know that in order for him to do so, I need to be an example of that for him. 

I have decided to live a positive and healthy life, while developing my talents and interests while still rockin’ it as a mother. I have decided to be ME.
