There are no short cuts for being prepared. Getting amped up can only can only last so long. At some point you have to move forward and decide if it’s important. At some point you either have to go for it or move onto something new. On Thursday Alex talked about driving into Yosemite and looking at El Cap and just feeling terrified. He would try to pump himself up for the idea of free soloing it but he would always feel a change of heart. Sometimes it’s good to listen to your gut when your gut is telling you no. But after a while he realized it was never going to look like an easy thing to do, and it was always going to be a bit nerve racking. Even with all the preparation, he was going to just have to go for it or give up on the whole project. This really spoke to me, because I feel like I am someone who is constantly back and forth about stuff, but sometimes I just need to pull the trigger on big decisions and go forward with them. Another thing that Alex talked about when discussing moving up in his career as a professional climber was having smaller dreams and smaller goals but consistently moving up. Do you dream big or do you dream realistic? __________ JUST GO FOR IT __________ Still shocked that I was able to meet and shoot photos of my hero @alexhonnold . Check out those hands in photo 2! Is the lighting perfect? Nope. Did I have my speed-light? Nope. I’m my worst critic. But I figured I’d share anyways. Enjoy. _________ - - - - #EntertainmentNews #igersboston #iheartboston #igboston #bostonusa #bostondotcom #bostonsworld #nikonphotography #nikontop #complex #freesolo #climbing #alexhonnold #theweekoninstagram #instagram #nikonusa #natgeo #natgeoyourshot #blackdiamond #redbull #thenorthface #natgeophotography #followingboston #rei #theportraitpr0ject #themanpr0ject #rockclimbing https://www.instagram.com/rafael.avcioglu/p/BwSyXnABP_T/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c6daxxd5ea5s
