A brief bio: I have a long-winded explanation about how he’s alive but we don’t have the TIME
Steve was raised in a fairly traditional, boring family. He had no real aspirations growing up and he was okay in school but nothing really caught his interest and he didn’t excel at one thing in particular. Which is how he found his way into the United States Army Air Service. It turned out that he felt most comfortable in a cockpit and learned with ease how to pilot a plane and evade attacks with counter striking. It was after becoming a pilot that he fell into the role of spy. His looks and his demeanor made him a natural fit but he was also proficient at lying and had a good memory for details and facts that would be necessary to assume the role of somebody else. And his accents are like...fine.
Never in a million years did he expect to crash land into the sea, waking up on an island of Amazons but he always seemed to fall into good circumstances. He always, vaguely, liked to think himself heroic but he never truly felt like one until he flew his plane straight up into the sky and blew himself up, all in the name of humanity. Steve was, and still is, fairly jaded. He knows that humans are flawed beyond redemption (wait until he sees TikTok) but he is still willing to lose his own life to see that they get the chance to do good things.
Long ass story short, I took some inspiration from the comics and pretty much explain Steve’s existence now by saying that Aphrodite took a liking to Steve and his selflessness, and felt sorrow upon hearing her sister’s screams when he died, and saved him before he actually died and kept him safe in Olympus, in an unconscious state. And something about this multiverse mess brought him back down to Earth and he is big confused.

mostly I think he talks a big game and tries to look as confident as possible because he’s plagued by constant self-doubt about his decisions

3 Negative Traits: She doesn’t feel down too often but when she does she tends to stay there, not always the first one with a bright idea or solution to a monumental problem / can get flustered, vegan AND from Southern California AND blonde AAAANNDDDD the daughter of famous actors like it’s too much.

How are they coping after everything that happened?: I mean...her life has made approximately zero sense for the last like four years so why not. There’s truly nothing that could throw her unless she witnessed Thanos firsthand, which I’m gonna say she didn’t because why would the Runaways be invited to an epic battle ever in this lifetime.
How do they feel about the new multiverses? Are they excited to work with new people they may have never met before? Or hesitant?: Karolina loves working with new people, it’s the rest of her friends who are the problem. Even just bearing the current Runaways books in mind, Karolina is the Runaway who’s the most willing to be a hero and the most excited about her powers and helping people. So like??? Working with more people who wanna do that shit is gonna be lit. She’s dabbled with multiverses a little in the past but it’s def not familiar territory for the most part. It more confuses than concerns her.

Karolina was raised with love from her parents -- they showed an admirable amount of attention to their only child, considering their profession. But once Karolina learned why she was an only child (pact to let your children inherent the Earth when you successfully rid it of humans at the behest of Old Gods, as u do) it was impossible to ever think of them as good parents ever again. Not only were they flat out evil, they lied to her about who she really was and what she was capable of. When Karolina discovered her powers, and that she wasn’t human, she was strangely elated. It made her feel like her otherness was justified, but it took a while longer to accept that she was a lesbian, a task made easier once she met her first girlfriend.
Alex defecting, or maybe never really being their friend, stung and continues to sting. Gert is a loss she’ll never stop grieving. She worries about her parenting skills when it comes to Molly. All of her romantic relationships have ended in failure and sometimes she partially blames Nico. She’s the only Runaway profiting from the death of her parents and it makes her feel a mix of guilt and responsibility to keep the rest of them afloat. Still, she wants to do something worthwhile with her life beyond her attempt at superheroism but she also really likes superheroism.

mj was indeed dusted. she was on the subway home from her acting class that day - which had gone terribly - when it happened.
how are they coping after everything that happened? if they got dusted, how are the adjusting to being back?
mj is confused beyond. belief. it seemed like only a couple hours, but the entire world had changed. her family were not dusted, so coming back to people apparently after five whole years has above all terrified her. she had not a single clue what had happened but was determined to figure something out for herself. it’s been difficult adjusting to everything, to school, to acting classes, to friends who were older and graduating. she was behind and was losing faith in herself and what she could do. did any of it even matter? she’s becoming more reserved to her own company and is struggling to reconnect with people.
how do they feel about the new multiverses? are they excited to work with new people they may have never met before? rr hesitant?
it worries her more than anything. there were the people who were familiar to her world - the avengers - but everyone else was new and unsettling. it didn’t only mean there were new heroes, but more people to be stopped even after everything that had happened with thanos. she’s not inclined to get incredibly chummy with anybody, but is curious to learn about them.
brief bio:
mary jane watson grew up in an unstable household; her mother was passive to the wills of her abusive father who - in his moments of rage - would take it out on his wife. she moved around a lot with her mother once it become too much and he laid his hands on mj’s sister, and since then the concept of a family unit has been foreign to her. she loves her sister and mother more than anything in the world and is incredibly protective over them. they are the only constants she’s ever had. her upbringing has forced her to be resilient, independent and self-determined, since moving around when she was so young meant she never had the chance to build strong friendships at school until high school.
at school, she’s fairly popular. there isn’t one single group she’s ever felt attached to and is much happier doing her own thing whilst having friends here and there, but because of her involvement on the cheerleading team and constant auditions/participation in drama club and performances put on at school, she’s not somebody that is completely in the shadows. on top of this, her interests stretch from acting to (much to the surprise of her mother and sister who are the complete opposite) more stem subjects, and has a lot of passion for science class. she’s not shy about her interest in it, nor afraid of what others (namely those in her drama class) may think her joining the decathlon team and such. she’s a versatile person that never wants to be lumped or attached to one group or category - it’s uncomfortable and suffocating. this is the same in regard to her relations with others - she hasn’t had a lot of very close friends, only a couple that really, truly know her. she’s quite a blunt (sometimes fiery) character and not afraid to say what she thinks - sometimes at the expense of others feelings - but it makes her very transparent and means she knows exactly what she wants. it’s not brought her anything but clarity and freedom, so it would need a lot for her to change and grow to be more open to forming a very deep relationship with anybody.
this is all i can really think of - i’m still fleshing her out and kinda combined different aspects of various portrayals into one - but i’m super excited to play her! all these new people and being dusted has left my little ginger super confused but also really >:( because she wants to get to the bottom of it - she hates the feeling of helplessness and also has realised just how much certain (ahem ahem) people mean to her, which is freaking her out. pls come at me for plots and stuff, i’d love to see her interactions with everybody! she’s most likely just a really confused civilian to most people unless you know her!! i might add stuff to this buttt adios for now <3

she highkey wasn’t very surprised . yet all she could do was think of her people were on her planet , that she ruled . since back on earth , she’s seeing how they are sort of ... rebuilding , so that she can take it back for tamaran and help her own people heal . she’s still very self-absorbed and protect her people first , but also a bit more wary , a bit more neutral than she was before the snap .

*** BASED OFF OF CARTOON NETWORK’S CHARACTERIZATION + PRIME EARTH’S REBOOT . the only thing taken from new earth is her powers . komand’r is the ELDEST daughter of the tamaranean royal family . unlike the rest of tamaran , she was born with purple / black hair , purple eyes , and no ability to fly . the people of tamaran immediately hated her , adored her sister ( koriand’r ) , and the two of them were always pitted against each other . yet , for a short while , they didn’t fight .
komand’r was forced into experiments to make up for her lack of flying ; eventually she was able to get it , and gain the ability to shoot her bolts from her eyes , but it was not without YEARS of torture and pain through the experiments . she eventually was given role of queen , and she sold her sister to the planet of blight , in order to save tamaran . it’s a guilt that she holds to this day , but ... she also knows her sister is doing well on earth , and it’s a guilt that kom knows is well deserved and she plans to deal with it alone for the rest of her life .
