This issue of Incredibly Hot Sex With Hideous People is a collection of images and quotes inspired by the author’s daily life and beyond. Most of the content of this issue are humorous observations but as always, Galloway doesn’t hold back with the inclusion of vulnerable, and perhaps, highly personal content. One page reads “your best is not good enough,” which captures the common occurrence of creative self-doubt.
Galloway’s drawings are highly stylised and unique, often told through his old diary entries. His works are essential reading for zine makers as they capture the heart of the New Zealand zine voice, in all its claustrophobic and messed up glory.
