It should be a crime to be this lively during the early hours, restlessly jumping from heel-to-heel as she scopes out the surrounding area. But it’s near impossible to feel anything but excitement! After all, this would be her first assignment since joining the guild. Shadowing another could still be considered an assignment, no? Much of yesterday was spent in introductions -- meeting other members and familiarizing herself with operations and facilities. How she managed to get any rest the evening prior is a mystery. Ryu had been itching to explore and venture around, certain that any travels would take some time; the drawbacks to being a fledgling adventurer. But just as she’d begun to voice her concerns, Kale offered her an opportunity to shadow him during an assignment. When morning arrived, she’d practically skipped out the doors to find their designated meeting spot. And now, she stood waiting for his arrival -- occasionally fishing around her leather satchel to nibble on some sliced fruit or study her map. Supposedly it was nothing harrowing, but it did require travel. Thankfully her gear was light; save for the blade housed against her back. “ What are we doing again? Ah, I was so excited last night I think I blanked out on everything he’d said. I should ask when he gets here. ” She whispers to herself in thought, nose scrunched up as she mused aloud. But it seems she’ll be able to relieve herself of all her questions, the sound of approaching footsteps stealing her attention.
A bright grin spreads at her lips as she waves in his direction, “ Hey! Guess I got here a little early, huh? ” Laughter spills into the space, a sheepish shrug of her shoulders following, “ Did you sleep alright? Or am I the only one excited here? ”
