though i’ve tried before to tell her of the feelings i have for her in my heart,  every time that i come near her,  i just lose my nerve as i’ve done from the start:  every little thing she does is magic,  everything she does just turns me on.  even though my life before was tragic,  now,  i know my love for her goes on.   do i have to tell the story of a thousand rainy days since we first met ?  it’s a big enough umbrella,  but it’s always me that ends up getting wet.

“  okay,  be real:  is the filter on this too much ?  ”   he asked,  reaching his phone over to show tommy a posed selfie,  taken out on the old brick steps of their building.  “  i’m tryna get the feed just right so next time she’s around,  i can get a follow-back from teagan rose.  no shit,  i really do think i’ve got a shot,  ”  shawn admitted,  matter-of-factly.  “  i mean,  don’t get me wrong,  there’s loads of perks to this whole communal living thing,  but a big one’s gotta be getting to fuck with all the rando famous people that end up slumming it with us,  ”  he laughed.  “  i mean,  you could probably go to one of the,  like,  six podcasters who live here,  pull the birthday card,  and get them to bump our last ep ---  i mean,  schilling your stuff out isn’t the best way to spend your birthday,  but the grind doesn’t stop for anything ---  plus,  we can go out and hit it hard this weekend,  i hear there’s gonna be this electric movement and music thing in we-ho,  could be the move.  ”     (  @iincvitable​  )

       he’s always relied on finding familiar faces.   when you move as much as shawn has,   you learn the strategies to make some kind of connection in the easiest,   most painless way possible.  all you need is a few people to pass the time with,   at the end of the day.   so he’ll go ahead and say that’s why he was drawn to arry,   why he approached her while she was just trying to enjoy her drink and a moment on her own.   ❝   quick,   i’m getting bored of the same plain coffee everyday.   what d’you think the best thing on the menu is here ?   ❞   (   @iincvitable   )

✧ How clean their living space is now, and/or would be ideally

shawn has learned the little ways he can have control in his life and one of them is the look of his living space.   his own room is organized and tidy, but in a lived in kind of way and generally,   you could describe his whole apartment that way.   audrie is a little more mindless when it comes to leaving little messes,   but,   over all,   he likes to think they keep house pretty well.

♜ Interior decorating aesthetic

again,   shawn likes getting involved with the aesthetic of his living space.   generally,   he’s always leaned to a simplistic look,   because a large poster and a couple extra pillows is easier to pack up and move than a bunch of tchotchkes.   his room isn’t minimalist by any means, but his guitar proudly on display and bunbury posters show off his interests while his color-coordinated bed set shows some level of organization.   he lets audrie make more of the calls in the rest of the apartment,   but he cosigns on most of it. 

✓ What a typical Tuesday night looks like

shawn thinks its cute to have taco tuesdays.   don’t @ him.   he puts out a whole lil spread and everything even if he swears its ironic he looks forward to it.

she never had a crush on him.   he had a girlfriend and he was her roommate’s best friend,   and she knew,   overall,   that made him off - limits.   but,   perhaps there was once,   in a wine - fueled gossip session that she mentioned that austin was a just a little pinch dreamy.

they had a european history course together,   which probably contributed to that.   she likes to see people in their element,  and listening to how competently he could answer the random questions the professor threw at him was impressive.

she thinks he’s nice.   he’s always seemed nothing but pleasant and she isn’t angry to be seeing him more now.
